The Left and Their Unique Selling Point

The new Dutch Labour leader, Job Cohen (Nohen) who just sustained a disastrous mock Obama (Nobama) launch, showed us yesterday how desperately out of touch the Left really is.

Enjoying a public holiday every five years on May 5, the commemoration of liberation in World War II, Cohen just proposed to turn it into an annual affair. Just what we need, another public holiday! With the economy tanking, talk of raising the state pension age to 67, the European Union on the brink, and a Euro that just plummeted to a staggering 1,04% against the dollar, the lowest mark in over a year, the Left is calling for an extra day off the job!

- Caption: protesting Greece's austerity measures in a country with little welfare fat on the bones -

The desperate situation in Greece is entirely on the plate of the unions and their limitless appetites, and the weak back Governments that were unwilling or unable to perform 'a Maggy'. Today it's make or break, and even now they do not seem to get it. But apparently, neither do we.

Needless to say, the unions and other socialistic parties were soon aboard Cohen's proposal. So this sad piece of ill concealed bribery is how Labour proposes to win the general elections next month! Desperate indeed ... and completely out of touch with reality. This just proves they're too irresponsible to govern and too out of touch to drag the country out of the economic quagmire.

Even more infuriating is, that Cohen is said to launch this idea out of 'respect' for liberty and the freedom of expression. As the former mayor of Amsterdam, Cohen enjoyed quite a few afternoons having 'tea summits' with Moroccan hooligans and other n'ver-do-wells, wont to terrorize entire neighbourhoods out of its indigenous populations.

This is how Cohen, the multiculturalist, proposes to 'keep the country together". As for the freedom of expression, don't provoke him! - before you know it he's triggered his own version of Brown's 'bigotgate'.

The man has no concept of the word Liberty! To the Left, liberty means freedom not to live under the collectivist Right's jackboot (as opposed to the collectivist Left's jackboot). To them, negative rights, the essence of true liberty, mean "neglection by the state". After all, it's now apparently the duty of politicians to offer the population "hope and consolation". Government has now in actual fact usurped the role of the God head: statism is no longer an abstraction, but a real state of mind.

Even more desperate is the British Labour Party, starting with Gordon Brown. The entire Left has abandoned them and jumped on to Nick Clegg's LibDem bandwaggon. The Labour Party doesn't stand a chance. Of course the state-run media would never, ever paint the Conservatives as a genuine alternative.

Current cohort of media workers do not even know anymore what Conservatism stands for. It's quite some time since I've heard a practicing journalist explain the details of the political philosophy, let alone provide a level playing field. The sole meme emanating from the lamestreamers is, "this is public enemy number one".

Labour has been in power in Britain for the last thirteen years; how it is then, that "the rich have gotten richer and the poor have gotten poorer"? Chatter has it, that the gap has become ever wider so that it's quite necessary to vote in ... more Labour.

As an explanation it is implied that somehow this feature is inherent in British class society. But the truth is, this is happening in every country, city and borough that is ruled by Leftists.

When are people going to catch on to this racket?

The Left is it's own unique selling point. Obama conveyed the notion correctly ... we are the people we've been waiting for ... vote Labour so as to mitigate our own policies!

The Answer to Nazis! is More Nazis!

Thanks to the feigned outrage today in the British Uberlefty newspaper The Guardian, another proud Conservative initiative is producing a flurry of activity on Twitter and the blogosphere: the Young Britons Foundation (YBF), presided over the EuroMP Daniel Hannan of last Saturday's Tea Party UK's fame.

The way the Left is dealing with this activism on the Right is wearing increasingly thin. It starts with moral outrage and condemnation, firmly placing the causes of these groups ethically beyond the pale, you know - as in "swastika toting astroturf" and "climate change deniers".

The article purportedly dug up the YBF's Chief Executive, Donal Blaney idenfying the foundation as "a Conservative Madrasa" that radicalises young Tories. If he did so, that was ill advised at worst, but we don't know if the article's claim is actually true. Stop Press: statement is traced back to Conservative commentator, Iain Dale, who's pretending to be angry he's not properly credited by The Guardian (already tweeted him that it was pretty stupid handing the ammo to the angry and smug).

Apparently it's next to criminal to ... describe the NHS as "the biggest waste of money in the UK", claim that global warming is "a scam" and to suggest that the waterboarding of prisoners can be justified. Life is hard among the terminally selfrighteous Left!

While Blaney also stands accused of having said that protesters who trespass ought to be shot down by the police, this statement is later modified to Blaney having said: "start with water cannon and if that doesn't work, maybe crank it up a level or two". Perhaps it's no coincidence this is right on par with Wilders' fanthom declaration that "soccer hooligans ought to be shot in the knees", which also can't be traced back to an event in real life.

Anyway, these days the Left, experiencing intense fear, panic and deranged hatred is considered a sign of real progress. Their existential angst and disproportionate hatred of Conservative women has completely given the game away. The Left's squeals and contortions like vampires to garlic are in equal measure to the Right's success. So keep it up, guys!

I see my fellow "immediate past" packmember, Bloghound  Charon QC is also on the case. He beat me to it, but that's just because I hit the pillow at 3.15 this morning. In "The Next Stunt – A Tory ‘ Madrasa’… a Madrasa? Mon Dieu!" he lays a bridge to that wonderful Mel Brooks comedy "The Producers" (1968 version, 2005 version), that spawned the hilarious act "Springtime for Hitler".

We need to deal with the Left's Nazis, Hitler, fascist, racist, extremist, radical, angry mob tags and Charon QC may have hit on the right answer. We'll work on that one. Every so often the solution turns out to be humor.

The reason The Guardian can spin their diatribe at length is because Tory leader David Cameron stubbornly refuses to pivot on his copying of, first Blair's Labour, and now the Obama campaign. You could have knocked me down with a feather when it transpired last night that Cameron actually hired the Obama PR Czars, Anita "Mao Tse" Dunn and Bill Knapp for TV debates with Brown. What's next? Plouffe Axelrod and Rhambo Deadfish for fake charismatic Tory postmodernism? (don't be surprised if it actually happened!)

Despite the Brown Labour Government being wildly unpopular, Cameron still stands a good chance of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, e.g. still losing the upcoming general elections by a narrow margin. As we have seen in America, the winning ticket is the Party of No, No to Big Government, and not promises of more of it, as Cameron's campaign implies. The Guardian makes the aim of the article crystal clear:
The links are likely to be deeply embarrassing for the Tory leader, David Cameron, who has pledged to make the NHS his top priority if he becomes prime minister and has attempted to present his party as the choice for green voters. The Conservatives have also talked tough on torture, with the shadow foreign secretary, William Hague, saying torture "helps terrorists justify their hostility to us".
With May 6 as election day looming, the UK is on a disaster course. In the face of so much ill aimed energy we can do with the likes of the Young Britons Foundation. At least we'll have the consolation to know that a firm cohort is on the horizon of real, 'radical' Tories who'll cling to Liberty, with God and guns to back it up.

Here's more on the Left's tactic of move-the-Left-to-the-center-by-pushing-the-Right-to-the-extreme-right. They've lied and manipulated so often, they've completely lost sight of what is objectively true and what is manufactured perception:

The Upcoming Upheaval

I'm getting more Liberal by the day. I'm doing so in equal measure to the Left's descend into fascism. In fact, I've always been a Liberal - but of the Classical variety - after Locke, Adam Smith, Montesquieu and Tocqueville. Not a liberal (small l) obsessed with "my personal development", but of the original "free-markets/limited government/freedom within the bounds of responsibility" persuasion.

Between Europe and America lies an ocean of misunderstanding (and possibly disinformation) where the old philosophy of Liberalism is concerned: Americans - for good reason as we shall see - identify liberalism with the Left; and the fact that real Liberals (renamed Libertarians) for that reason have long repositioned themselves on the Right-hand side of the aisle, is lost on most Europeans.

- Caption: "The Tower of Babel" (1563), by Pieter Bruegel the Elder -

That Leftist opponents, as well as Liberals proper - as a bloc - are still supporting the Democrats, rather inexplicably hasn't alerted anyone in Europe that something is ideologically afoot. They still see the American Right as a coalition of Calvinist parochians and religion-hysterical Evangelists.

As asserted many times in these pages, the Left - being at war with the status quo - will stop at nothing to lay their hands on the reigns of power. At some stage in history they saw it as expedient to that cause to usurp Liberalism, giving it a bad name and a small l in the process (it is touched upon here by David Horowitz).

For decades the corruption of the very notion of Liberty has served the purpose of subverting Western societies. The inexorable advocacy of boundless licentiousness and Narcissistic self obsession has taken its toll. But that phase now seems to have been completed. The tide is turning. Postmodern Marxism has taken over. Here's how that happened.

A better opportunity for a power grab seemed to have presented itself with the arrival of disenfranchised Muslims on the scene, but the Unholy Alliance is already backfiring on all fronts. On the political level it was a appalling miscalculation, as we shall see.

And so we find ourselves currently in the throngs of yet another historical re-alignment. Back to basics everyone! The Left is reverting to the authoritative, antimodern statism that has ever characterised it, and the Right is reclaiming the original form of Liberalism as their own.

Sadly a true form of Liberalism hardly survives in Europe today, but in the Anglo-Saxon world it is alive and kicking. It is refered to as Conservatism. The alignment of Liberals as Conservatives is justified by different adherents in different ways.

David Horowitz refers to the Founding Fathers and their believe in God as the source of inalienable rights (as an agnostic he may find that human nature is just as good and inalienable a source). My own ground for identifying as a Conservative lies in my belief in building on historical legacy, as opposed to progressives who prefer to start their eras with the first sacrificial libations in collectivist revolutions.

In an earlier post on the ongoing realignment I wrote that the Left - in their gluttony to harness the interests of yet another minority to their cause forged an alliance with Islam, a decision that left their traditional, plebeian power base completely in the lurch. It is also the reason why they now have to distance themselves from licentious liberalism. And not only that: the new allies prove to be a trifle too hot to handle!

The European Left are already paying the price for their dastard deed: the traditional base is taking refuge with the upcoming Center-Rightist populist parties, such as Geert Wilders' Freedom Party.

The ideological seachange is also not lost on the world of punditry and satire. Here's what John Stuart and Bill O-Reilly exchanged on the matter (and more). I could be mistaken, but it seems that the pejorative meaning of the very term liberal (small l) is so pervasive in America, that Bill O'Reilly shows just a hint of embarrassment, how to handle the ethical shift from liberal/bad to Liberal/good. What do you think?

As ever the offensive lies with the Leftist deconstructionists, with the Right re-actively defending and pushing back. This apparently is the way of the world. The new alignment will take time to take hold, but under the pressure of the Left getting more fascist, dictatorial and elitist by the day, the time is near that the right people will once again take charge of Liberalism, the philosophy of Liberty.

Neo Conservatives pointed the way towards the political morality of good versus evil, spreading democracy to the Middle East as a remedy against terrorism, and condemning totalitarian regimes as the Axis of Evil. In fact this may have sparked the Leftist descend into amoral relativism and with it, into fascism. There's more evidence that Conservatives are starting to act like Liberals in PJTV's "The Power of Parody".

The Voice of Liberty at the Price of Peanuts

Our friends Elizabeth Crum, Duane Lester and Andrew Riley at All American Blogger today let the cat out of the bag ... and they have a request.

This is a great cost-efficient grassroots project and the guys are only $250 shy of what they need for equipment and software to produce 24/7 conservative radio: News, Rock and Talk ...

All American Blogger: "RFC Radio Is Coming, February 16th"

We at All American Blogger are part of a new project aimed at bringing the conservative community a little closer. On February 16th at Noon Eastern time, RFC Radio will begin broadcasting a 24/7 stream of News, Rock, and Talk for the online conservative community.

RFC Radio stands for “Radio For Conservatives”. Our mission is to improve the distribution of conservative news and entertainment. We aren’t going to be “fair and balanced”, and we’re not going to be a shill for the Republican party.

We are conservatives, and RFC Radio is all about the conservative movement in America. RFC Radio will bring you regular news updates that will keep you up to date about what’s going on in the conservative blogosphere.

We’ll also be broadcasting great conservative talk shows from some of your favorite online conservatives. (...) What we all have in common is a love for our country, a love for freedom, and a love for liberty. And that is what RFC Radio is all about.

In order for us to make it happen, we need your help. This is absolutely grass roots. The people behind this are not rich. We don’t have corporate funding, we don’t have political party money, and we don’t have a billionaire like George Soros pulling our strings. (...)

If we could fund this ourselves, we would do it in a minute. But we just can’t afford to do it without help. The cost to get our project started is more than we can manage without some assistance from you. (...) >>>

So please, chip in for a great cause!

Is Obama above the law?

A small business owner, a grocery store proprietor, or a Republican takes millions of illegal credit card donations and he's going to jail.

Barack Obama does it and he's going to the White House.

Take a stand now for equal justice for all Americans.

Make everyone you know—Democrat, Republican, or independent—aware of this failure of justice.

NewsMax: "Audit of Obama Fundraising Unlikely"

The Federal Election Commission is not likely to conduct a potentially embarrassing audit of Barack Obama’s record-breaking fundraising campaign despite allegations of questionable donations and accounting.

That’s the disclosure from Politico.com, which reports that Obama will probably escape scrutiny in large part because unlike John McCain, he declined to accept $84 million in public financing.

Accepting that money automatically triggers an audit, meaning that the FEC is obligated to thoroughly audit the McCain campaign’s coffers, which will take months and cost McCain millions to defend.

Another factor that will discourage an Obama audit by the FEC is the sheer size of his fundraising haul — more than $650 million — which minimizes the significance of any errors.

“If a House campaign makes a $100,000 error, that’s huge and they’re likely to get audited,” David Mason, a former GOP appointee to the FEC, told Politico.

“If a campaign the size of the Obama campaign has a $100,000 error, then maybe not.” (...) >>>

Check Out This Little Gem

Objectivists, language and culture lovers, history buffs, Classicists and Libertarians of the world, check out this little gem: Rusty Mason.com Other News & Association Sites.

I don't mean the blogs that are listed. It lays bare the confusion in Conservative political alignment today. Whereas all that wasn't coveted by the Left was hitherto derogatively termed 'Right-wing', the new broad, generic epithet today appears to be 'Conservative.'

We have to work on that: Paleo Conservatism, harking back to pre-revolutionary times, doesn't gel with the Enlightenment modernism of Libertarianism - let alone the anti-modern, Hegel inspired ideologies of Nationalism and (neo) National Socialism!

I actually mean the site's language pages, listed on the top left-hand side. Delve and enjoy!
