The Nature of the Revolution Is Socialist, Stupid!

For the latest check our links on Politeia Articles: "The Middle East Project" >>>

I told you so! "The Revolution Has Begun!" While we are all watching the Islamist component of the revolution in Tunesia and Egypt, the root of the uprising remains undeclared and unnoticed: it's International Socialism, stupid! (And yes, Wikileaks and SoroS are in it, too...) (Hat Tip: Libertarier_Def)
- An 'authentic', 'grassroots' pamphlet translated by The Atlantic,
high quality art work, first rate graphics, not exactly work
post-hastily jotted down by a knuckle-dragging Bedoein -
This isn't 'grassroots' or anything spontaneous in any way! It is - as usual - triggered from the top down in a concerted effort. That's not to say the Islamists won't be taking hold of the reigns at a later stage. After all, that's precisely what happened in 1979 in the Iranian Revolution.

Trevor Loudon of New Zeal traces it back to a bloggers outfit called Wasla, which is published by the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information and financially supported by the Open Society Institute, created by none other than George Soros; Brooks Bayne ends up with the same result, through Soros-funded GlobalVoices.

What have we got so far? A Postmodern man-child in the White House, essentially a mental baby with a razor, who is in way over his head! Wikileaks has been creating an atmosphere of unreliability and failure of the world's leaders at large. An economic and monetary crisis which may, or may not have been triggered within the system (see the entry on this dossier on Sept. 19, 2010 entitled "On the September 2008 money vortex").

Iran is plotting to take over swaths of the Middle East through their proxies in Syria, Lebanon (which is now ruled by Hezbollah), Turkey, and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The Islamic uprising against 'imperialism' is egged on by the Qatari Shiite news outlet, Al Jazeera (since ousted from Egypt). On the other hand, when the Islamofascist regime isn't hanging innocent house wives, it might want to do the world a favor by comitting suicide and pilot the Bushehr reactor, causing a massive nuclear explosion.

Violent protests against austerity measures in Greece, a violent election dispute in Albania, violent student protests in the UK and Netherlands, regime change in Tunesia, rioting in Algeria, Albania, Yemen, Israel (Jaffa), Jordan and an ongoing revolt in the heart of Arabia, Egypt which may set off a string of dominos tumbling all over the Middle East.

It is no coincidence that both George Soros and ElBaradei both sit on the Board of Trustees of the International Crisis Group, one of Soros' agitators. While some see ElBaradei as a strawman for the Muslim Brotherhood and a stooge of the regime in Iran, the Marxist Africa Workers Organization has this self-explanatory piece of undiluted, Socialist paranoia to share:

Mohamed El Baradei is an imperialist puppet (...) He was placed under house arrest briefly to boost his profile as being with ‘the masses’. He has been planted by imperialism to betray the revolution from within. Imperialism has struck a deal with the Muslim Brotherhood to promote ElBaradei as the ‘leader’ of the revolution. The price was of course a stake for the Muslim Brotherhood in the new regime. The Muslim Brotherhood is a highly reactionary organization, with militantant-imperialist rhetoric but who are fundamentally pro-capitalist. (...)
The immediate task of the revolution is the setting up of soviets, that is, committees of struggle with worker delegates principally (but not limited to) from the textile, gas and oil, hydroelectricity and metal and armamentsfactories, from the large capitalist farms, including delegates from rank and file soldiers, delegates from the unemployed, students and ruined sectors of the lower middle class and poorest peasants (in the agricultural areas). (...) >>>

More vintage Marxist lingo on The Socialist Worker: "Egyptian socialist: 'We can make Mubarak run like Ben Ali'".

How could we have missed it?! Because our bl**dy media are either colluding with the Islamist-Marxist nexus, or they don't know their Democrats from their Socialists (probably both, but the ethics are 'all systems are equally valid, but Socialism can't be as bad as they told us!'). The words Socialism and extreme Left have effectively been expunged from the lexicon. It simply doesn't exist anymore!

Some in Europe think we should all support the efforts for the fledgeling 'Jeffersonian democracy' in Egypt. Well, there's hardly a point in substituting a crypto Socialist dictatorship with yet another hard Islamo-Socialist tyranny!

Watch words: democracy, freedom and justice are code words for Socialism (always have been). This has nothing to do with the Jeffersonian version called Liberty. We now all know what the call for 'change' stands for: fundamental transformation i.e. revolution.

Question: Why are some ludicrously comparing this revolt with the Tea Party? It is an absurd effort to confuse people into accepting the collectivist, malignant revolt for the Jeffersonian version, which is based on individual rights, not collectivism like the present one.

Question: Who is the young dissident who attended a US-sponsored Alliance of Youth Movements summit for activists in New York, while working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police?  On his return to Cairo in December 2008, the activist told US diplomats that an alliance of opposition groups had drawn up a plan to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government in 2011. The secret document in full. He has already been arrested by Egyptian security in connection with the demonstrations and his identity is being protected by The Daily Telegraph. Commentary by DebkaFile.

Who's behind the Alliance of Youth Movements summit in New York and which members of Congress did the activist meet? George W. Bush was in office in 2008, so that would be the hated Neocon "freedom agenda".

The same article is stating that "The American government secretly backed leading figures behind the Egyptian uprising who have been planning “regime change” for the past three years".

We should all stop egging on this malignant revolt, because we may come to gravely regret it!

P.S. Was just informed that Hosni Mubarak and former Tunisian president Ben Ali who fled to Saudi, are both card carrying members of the Socialist International. So these are Socialists rising up against Socialist dictatorships. What else is new? Surely they'll get it right this time ... Update Feb. 1 Their parties have just been booted from the club: NDP in Egypt (PDF), RDC of Tunisia.

Postmodern Foreign Policy is Dead, Bring Back the Neocons!

For the latest check our links on Politeia Articles: "The Middle East Project" >>>

The utter hypocrisy on the part of the Postmodern Left is once again in full view!
When George W. Bush was in office, pursuing the Neocon policy of bringing democracy to the Middle East, that was loudly rejected as "liberty by coercion".

In this narrative the people of the Middle East ostensibly [sarc on] like their regimes slightly tyrannical. Who are we to judge?! Our Jeffersonian brand of democracy may not suit all people. There isn't just one true democracy. There are as many forms of democracy as there are people! Democracy may even be overrated, ormaybe it doesn't 'work' anymore [sarc off].

Now that the potentates are falling like pieces on a chess board, it's "America is propping up dictators". Well, actually, the Obama is.

An adept of above 'freedom is slavery' school of thought he's been following the 'thou shalt not meddle' narrative to the letter, reversing the Bush doctrine. Abdicating the proliferation of liberty, Obama has been doing everything in his power to keep communication lines open to the bad guys: Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamofascist regime in Iran and its proxy Syria.

He's even installed the first US ambassador to Syria in five years. On the other hand, Mubarak hasn't visited the White House in five years, because of the hated Bush's "freedom agenda".

Parley with dictators is the central Pomo foreign policy piece! No violence, no violence, is all the "make peace, not war" generation of leaders can muster. As if anyone cared! They've never heard of Ayn Rand's logical wisdom that the Good has nothing to gain from Evil and Evil has everything to gain from the Good! By talking to these evil doers they've turned into co-conspirators. This is how Evil works. Go ask Faust!

See how many peoples and causes Obama has already thrown "Under the Bus" with his faulty doctrine. US Homeland Security Secretary, Janet "Big Sis" Napolitano and her senior staff have already privately met in Washington, DC, in January of last year with a select group of Muslim, Arab, and Sikh organizations, among which were three organizations directly associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, the roots of Al Qaeda.

Our Leftist journolisters (is there any other kind) are reporting about the Brotherhood in Egypt in terms of the greatest respect and something akin to affection in their tone of voice, as if the Brotherhood was a boys choir! It's infuriating!

The Washington Post has two separate articles today that are highly critical of the Obama's foreign policy. Yeah, out with the Postmodernists and bring back the darned Neocons!
While various forms of statism and totalitarianism are on the rise: Neo Socialism in South America, the Chinese commies are arming to the teeth morphing into a giant fascist state, and Iran's proxies are taking over the Middle East, Lebanon - the place of the Ceder Revolution - has fallen to bl**dy Hezbollah.

Meanwhile the O Team is in the throngs of micro-managing school dinners and in the business of destructing jobs through malignant Uberregulation. It can do so, because 'all systems are equally valid'.

So much for Postmodern foreign policy! Before last week its status was 'a geopolitical disaster waiting to happen'; currently the catastrophe is actually unfolding before our very eyes. A year from now we may not have done away with the Islamofascist state of Iran, we may actually have an Arab version of it as well.

ElBaradei is a Kifaya and a Muslim Brotherhood tool and a stooge for Iran. He's a straw-man who can just as easily be toppled as he's stood up. For the moment each and every nut job in the Middle East will be pouring into the country. Egypt for the moment is eerily following the 1979 scenario.

Ideological Archeology: Flunking Fichte (V)

Continued from Part IV: Heckling Hegel

"Education should aim at destroying free will so that after pupils are thus schooled they will be incapable throughout the rest of their lives of thinking or acting otherwise than as their school masters would have wished."

Meet the Professor from hell, Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762-1814), Head of Philosophy and Psychology Dept. of the Prussian University of Berlin, in 1810.

He blamed all but God for the German defeat against Napoleon Bonaparte: corrupt royals, the nobility, the decadent influence of reason, and a succession of weak governments that undermined religion as a moral force. He wanted the German losers to emulate the burghers of the Middle Ages, who made the Holy Roman Empire great because they weren't individuals, but sacrificed to the common good.

The emphasis in Fichte's educational system was on compulsion, like Kant pushing duty for its own sake and the elimination of self-interest; obedience, the crush of free will, prohibition, fear for punishment, religious immersion--pupils must become 'fixed and unchangeable machines' and 'links in the eternal chain of spiritual life in a higher social order.'

Fichte applied Kant to education, as generations of continental school children, until well within the last century, may have been aware of, although perhaps not consciously so.

"Under proper guidance, the student will find at the end that nothing really exists but life, the spiritual life which lives in thought, and that everything else does not really exist, but only appears to exist."
A belated reaction to Fichte's will-crushing - but in full accordance with the extremes of the Hegel dialectic - was provided by Frankfurt School inspired anti-authoritarian education of the seventies of the last century. The Head Master from hell has become the guidance counsellor called Bill.

- Four German Idealists: Johann Gottlieb Fichte, Friedrich Schleiermacher,
Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, and Ernst Moritz Arndt (undated Woodcut) -
As National Socialism differed from Marxism in the national versus the international context, intellectuals of the Counter-Enlightenment movement exerted German, ethnic subjectivism. In Fichte's case, on education:
"Only the Germans, the salvation of Europe from the Napoleontic Enlightenment, are capable of true education."
In Fichte we have a good example of Left and Right Socialism as mirroring ideologies, not as opposing social systems. Like so many of the anti-modernist movement, he was undoubtedly a man of the Right, but pursuing what would today be seen as a Leftist subject: egalitarian public education.

First elected President of the Weimar Republic, the Social Democrat Friedrich Ebert in his inaugural speech in 1919 stressed the relevance of the Rightist Socialist, Fichte:
“In this way we will set to work, our great aim before us: to maintain the right of the German nation, to lay the foundation in Germany for a strong democracy, and to bring it to achievement with the true social spirit and in the Socialistic way. Thus shall we realize that which Fichte has given to the German nation as its task.”
The Head Master from hell may well have inspired Marx to view school as a microcosm of Utopian society.

The Revolution Has Begun (updates)

Update: December 14, 2010

This article is typical of the spin of Wikileaks supporters. Some were as early as last week calling for the incarceration of Geert Wilders for offending Muslims. Today these fake Libertarians claim to be free speech fundamentalists!

The Guardian: "WikiLeaks backlash: The first global cyber war has begun, claim hackers"

You'd think this is a postmodern Robin Hood at work, all for the sake of 'democracy', openness and freedom.

The Blaze: "‘OPERATION PAYBACK’: NOTORIOUS HACKER GROUP ‘ANONYMOUS’ UNVEILS PRO-WIKILEAKS MESSAGE"

If you think so, think again. A short survey of YouTube learns that "Operation Payback" by the hivemind Anonymous (not to be confused with a cause to raise awareness for veterans) has been in the works since the beginning of September, if not months longer. It has little to do with the arrest of Wilkileaks boss, Julian Assange.

Indeed, Anonymous has in the past launched cyper attacks in support of perceived 'anti racist' causes (the Habbo raids, the Hall Turner raid), Project Chanology was against the Church of Scientology for their claim of copyright infringement, and a host of other supposed causes 'against the will of the people'. The Chanology project even sparked a series of actual, physical protests.

The only causes one could possibly applaud would be the one against sexual internet predator, Chris Forcand and the support of Iran's Green Wave movement.

This video, released by Anonymous one month ago, is filled to the brim with Marxist memes and anarchist themes: the poor and oppressed, workers and persons in need, vie for attention with Big Media, massive capitalist enterprises and The Evil Capitalist Power Structure.

If you think this is against those in power, you are sadly mistaken. This is against those in power, other than Marxists.

To the intrepid citizen the attacks of Anynomous and Wikileaks are no surprise. After the assaults yesterday on Paypal, MoneyBookers and Master Card (all 'capitalist' symbols) and a Swedish governmental site (power structure), today in the Netherlands the Prosecution Office and a police portal (power structure) have been taken down in retaliation of a 16 year old who was taken into custody for participating in the first assaults.

Anonymous and Wikileaks are not the sole organizations using the Internet as a revolutionary weapon. Avaaz has adopted the typical Marxist victimhood pose and has started a petition asking people for support against "the vicious intimidation campaign against WikiLeaks".

Typically it is demanding respect of democratic principles while it supports a cause that goes roughshod over every other principle of moral conduct.

The 'student revolt' in the streets of London is no coincidence either. Last night even a car, carrying Prince Charles and his wife Camilla was viciously attacked.

The newly elected right wing Dutch government is bracing for similar 'student' protests due to plans to rationalize funding of higher education.

The Coming Insurrection* indeed has been in the works for years. It is rooted in the anti Iraq war movement and has since gone underground. From time to time it rears its ugly head. We have seen them in the streets of Athens, Marseilles, Paris and elsewhere (dossier).

The threat earlier this week to 'explode a bomb' if Wikileaks honcho, Julian Assange would be arrested, has sprouted from a mind (hive or otherwise) with a mafia mentality. Indeed, Wikileaks publishing diplomatic material and sensitive terrorist targets that seriously endangers the lives of people should be enough to convince anyone of the real nature of these anarchist groups.

Their cause isn't freedom for We The People, but anarchy and mayhem resulting in tyranny. Don't fall for it!

* A German translation of "The Coming Insurrection" has now become available. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Süddeutche Zeitung are besides themselves with enthousiasm! The left-wing paper taz, however, describes the pamphlet, as 'decidedly right-wing'. Read it all in Signandsite.

Update

Libertarians appear to be confused on the issue. Objectivists shouldn't be: Ayn Rand was clear on anarchism.

Update
The title of my book and the blog is The Path to Tyranny. The book describes how the demand for free gifts from the government leads to tyranny. But this road does not always lead straight to tyranny. It often falls into anarchy first. (...) This is the real reason so many today advocate anarchy and anti-globalization. They do not really want anarchy. Instead, they want to establish a situation which would call for immediate order, to be established by the government and "intellectual elites." First stage is anarchy, second is totalitarianism. These "anarchists" hope they can direct events towards socialism, as they successfully did in Russia in the 1910s and attempted to do in Italy and Germany, though other collectivist regimes beat out the socialists and communists, though both the Fascists and Nazis adopted socialist platforms to win favor among the people. Update December 12, 2010

Wikileaks support and imperatives to 'openness' are nothing but cheap cover that is hiding virulent anti Americanism. Even the 'military industrial complex' has come out of the moth balls.

Hive mind Anonymous has left a socialist calling card. The name "describes a way of communicating and promoting social change", a postmodern shibboleth for socialism.

Oh, nice! Wikileaks falling apart over leaks and its finances -

Wikileaks is facing questions over its finances as lawyers for its alleged main source, Pte Bradley Manning, said they had not seen a penny of tens of thousands of dollars raised by the site to help pay for his defence and promised to them three months ago. (...) Mr Domscheit-Berg and other ex-WikiLeaks staff will tomorrow launch a rival site, OpenLeaks, which promises to be "democratically governed by its members, rather than one group or individual." WikiLeaks was unavailable for comment (...) >>>

Yes, We Cancun: 'modest' deal for $100,000,000,000

First, there's the utter hypocrasy of these socialist watermelons. Still, they know how to pull off a heist.

The 'modest' package of climate projects negotiated at the flesh pots of Cancun will make the biblical amount of 100 billion dollar change hands, payble till 2020 by the Western tax payer and receivable by the developing world.

How's that for global socialism?

This is justifiied by our 'climate debt', sustained since the Industrial Revolution, which gave us civilization as we know it.

Information Liberation has a great post by Lord Monckton, detailing how we got here. Don't forget to read the bit about the illusive one worlder, Maurice 'Blofeld' Strong.

In "The Abdication of the West" Lord Monckton describes what we are doing on the national level, by virtually committing suicide in adopting the corrupt philosophy of relativism and the vile process of political correctness, is happening here on the transnational level.

Where Have All the Radicals Gone?

A Dutch paper recently posted an article, investigating the whereabouts of anti globalist radicals. They seem to be missing. One wouldn't have thought it since the violence at the September G20 meeting in Boston and the Leftist media having the gall to compare it to the Tea Party.

The Left is fuming and frothing at the mouth that their convenient crisis is passing by without anarcho-communism, or at least world socialism having been declared at the UN. Left, right and center countries are voting in rightist governments and the Left has failed to associate the opponents with the economic downturn.

In The Netherlands the Senate last week adopted a revolutionary Bill which actually reaffirms the right to property. Traditionally the non existent "right to housing" was deemed more important than basic property rights. And so an entire industry has sprung up to avert squatting. Buildings that were taken over became strongholds of the counter capitalist movement and could only be liberated by laying them under siege.

Since the banking crisis broke in 2008 the movement has tried to call a convention on at least two occasions. They invited all the usual suspects, but returns were meager, to say the least. Of willingness to take action there was none. One is not to count the World Social Forum of the new Leftist mainstay, Brazil which in 2009 in Belem, was attended by some 113.000 radicals for social justice. A spokesperson for the squatter group has the following interesting analysis of the situation.

The resistance has become "happy", practical, and not as much Leftist as "green" and "sustainable". Since in his view that encompasses "just about everybody" radicalism has become mainstream. "Look at the NGOs", he says pointing to Fair Food and Globalicious. They think the Left vs Right dichotomy is outdated.  They have no problem working within the capitalist system.

The intelligence agency confirms the only ones radicalizing at this point are animal rights activists, the "delete-the-borders" brigades and the weapons-are-evil crowd. Neither has radicalism moved to the Internet. Students have started ... studying. The shrinking welfare state compels them to concentrate on their careers. Anarchist bookshops have largely disappeared.

A German squatter agrees: there are a few small networks, and there's Indymedia, but most have been absorbed by the system. Radical activists are more visible in France and Germany, and radicalism certainly isn't dead. It has been written off before after the fall of communism in 1989, but it bounced back ten years ago. He's hoping the anti squatting Bill will trigger a response shaking them out of hibernation.

Which is bearing out my hypothesis to the contrary. Radicals haven't become less Left or less radical at all. They've become part of the mainstream where they're infecting entire swathes of society with memes of greenism, sustainability and socially responsible entrepreneurship. Radicals haven't disappeared! They're simply everywhere!

A Dutch Tea Party

Cross posted from Dutch Tea Party Blog

We are fed up with waiting for politicians to see sense. Nothing will change unless we stand up and act.

The Hague is spending taxpayers’ money like there’s no tomorrow. As a result, our national debt is fast running our of control, increasing at €550 a second. Our national debt today stands at €365,179,000,000. That’s €23,000 for every man, woman, and child.

Instead of cutting taxes and letting the market do its job, the Left is now talking about raising taxes to as much as 60% on higher incomes. There are plans for new taxes on cars, on flights, even a tax on meat. Hardworking people will be paying through the nose for socialist pet projects.

Why a Tea Party now?

On June 9 the Dutch are electing a new government. Inexplicably the Dutch Labor Party is still marginally ahead in the polls. We can’t let them win. Every Dutch citizen has got to wake up and realize what will happen if we let the Tax & Spenders take control of the public purse strings.

Come and join us on the 29th of May, as we meet up in front of the Parliament building in The Hague. It’s time to tell the politicians we’re Taxed Enough Already.

The Left and Their Unique Selling Point

The new Dutch Labour leader, Job Cohen (Nohen) who just sustained a disastrous mock Obama (Nobama) launch, showed us yesterday how desperately out of touch the Left really is.

Enjoying a public holiday every five years on May 5, the commemoration of liberation in World War II, Cohen just proposed to turn it into an annual affair. Just what we need, another public holiday! With the economy tanking, talk of raising the state pension age to 67, the European Union on the brink, and a Euro that just plummeted to a staggering 1,04% against the dollar, the lowest mark in over a year, the Left is calling for an extra day off the job!

- Caption: protesting Greece's austerity measures in a country with little welfare fat on the bones -

The desperate situation in Greece is entirely on the plate of the unions and their limitless appetites, and the weak back Governments that were unwilling or unable to perform 'a Maggy'. Today it's make or break, and even now they do not seem to get it. But apparently, neither do we.

Needless to say, the unions and other socialistic parties were soon aboard Cohen's proposal. So this sad piece of ill concealed bribery is how Labour proposes to win the general elections next month! Desperate indeed ... and completely out of touch with reality. This just proves they're too irresponsible to govern and too out of touch to drag the country out of the economic quagmire.

Even more infuriating is, that Cohen is said to launch this idea out of 'respect' for liberty and the freedom of expression. As the former mayor of Amsterdam, Cohen enjoyed quite a few afternoons having 'tea summits' with Moroccan hooligans and other n'ver-do-wells, wont to terrorize entire neighbourhoods out of its indigenous populations.

This is how Cohen, the multiculturalist, proposes to 'keep the country together". As for the freedom of expression, don't provoke him! - before you know it he's triggered his own version of Brown's 'bigotgate'.

The man has no concept of the word Liberty! To the Left, liberty means freedom not to live under the collectivist Right's jackboot (as opposed to the collectivist Left's jackboot). To them, negative rights, the essence of true liberty, mean "neglection by the state". After all, it's now apparently the duty of politicians to offer the population "hope and consolation". Government has now in actual fact usurped the role of the God head: statism is no longer an abstraction, but a real state of mind.

Even more desperate is the British Labour Party, starting with Gordon Brown. The entire Left has abandoned them and jumped on to Nick Clegg's LibDem bandwaggon. The Labour Party doesn't stand a chance. Of course the state-run media would never, ever paint the Conservatives as a genuine alternative.

Current cohort of media workers do not even know anymore what Conservatism stands for. It's quite some time since I've heard a practicing journalist explain the details of the political philosophy, let alone provide a level playing field. The sole meme emanating from the lamestreamers is, "this is public enemy number one".

Labour has been in power in Britain for the last thirteen years; how it is then, that "the rich have gotten richer and the poor have gotten poorer"? Chatter has it, that the gap has become ever wider so that it's quite necessary to vote in ... more Labour.

As an explanation it is implied that somehow this feature is inherent in British class society. But the truth is, this is happening in every country, city and borough that is ruled by Leftists.

When are people going to catch on to this racket?

The Left is it's own unique selling point. Obama conveyed the notion correctly ... we are the people we've been waiting for ... vote Labour so as to mitigate our own policies!

Of Cultural Marxism, Blue Helmets and the "Pink Army"

A Dutch lobby group for gays in the military, "Pink Army" is livid! An American General has told the US Senate Armed Services Committee, that the sacking of the Bosnian enclave Srebrenica in 1995 occurred as a result of the Dutch policy that allowed gays in the military. At least, that is what the MSM, and fuming liberal politicians after them have been paroting for days. The chaps in the Pink Army are pondering a law suit.

But what General Sheehan has actually said was that European armies deteriorated after the collapse of the Soviet Union and focused on peacekeeping because they did not believe the Germans were going to attack again or the Soviets were coming back.

Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and other nations believed there was no longer a need for an active combat capability in the militaries. They declared a peace dividend and made a conscious effort to socialize their military — that includes the unionization of their militaries, it includes open homosexuality.

- Caption: Serb General Mladic and the Dutch Commander Karremans -
Dutch troops serving as U.N. peacekeepers and tasked with defending the town of Srebrenica in 1995 were an example of a force that became ill-equipped for war. The battalion was understrength, poorly led, and the Serbs came into town, handcuffed the soldiers to the telephone poles, marched the Muslims off, and executed them.

Truth is, that the haphazardly declared enclaves were impossible to defend. The Bosnian Muslim army continued to conduct raids into Serb territory from this 'neutral zone'; one day the Serbs decided to act. But worst of all it was the UN that had the lead in the war. They provided the peace keeping forces with light arms, throwing in 1 (one) tank between them for good measure, so as not be 'provocative'!

General Sheen is right, but he is missing the full picture. The 'socialization' of the military to which he's refering happened during the Den Uyl government, who - like Obama today - was conducting a program of "fundamental transformation" (code for a bloodless revolution).

This government vowed to reform society based on the "democratization" of private corporations and governmental institutions - higher education, police and the army amongst others - and 'nivellation', the redistribution of wealth with a view to an equality of outcome. The military and civil servants were allowed to unionize and obtained the right to strike.

Ideally corporations and institutions "mirrored" minorities in society - the early form of what is now termed 'diversity'. Reverse sexism and racism was the result. The last remaining vestiges of that era are the military unions and now, the "Pink Army".

But the scope of the New Left's bloodless revolution was much wider and took place all over the Western world. Only now, years after the events do we know that some years prior, McCarthy wasn't that far off the mark as is often claimed. The West was riddled with Soviet moles, fellow travelers and useful idiots. The Frankfort School was the incubator and director of this onslaught of cultural Marxism.

The peace movement was infested with agitators and agents provocateurs. They were protesting against the same cruise missiles that eventually necessitated the Soviet Union to drop out of the arms race. It was however a fatal mistake to think that after the collapse of the USSR, the Left had conceded defeat. Now they're back with a vengeance.

Looking back on history from satellite height one can discern the pattern of the postmodern dialectic. This narrative builds on the Marx dialectic, that created the dichotomy of oppressors versus oppressed. This narrative  goes as follows: "the" truth does not exist; all oppressed minorities - genders, races, ideas, religions and cultures - are equal in value and validity ... except the West's which are uniquely evil. The group oppressors consists in affluent, white, heterosexual males. (Read or watch Isabel Allende's "The House Spirits" which embodies this drama like no other.)

Gays in the military are a part of this dialectic. Also peruse our dossier "Socialist Causes Explained". Despite all this talk of equality there is a certain hierarchy of victimhood: some are definitely more equal than others. But whoever has the audacity to outgrow one's victimgroup, is inviting the fulll wrath of socialist curse. More on this subject in part II of our series on progressive cosmology.

- Caption: Condoleezza Rice lost her black victimhood status because she is a Republican i.e. political color trumps race -

If you fail to see the logic or common sense in a certain position the Left is taking, just ask yourself the question, what course of action would hurt the West most, and you've got your answer. That is the ultimate goal, also of gays in the military. The sacking of Srebrenica wasn't because of gays in the military, but it happened as a result of the demoralization program, of which they are part and parcel..

Start Thinking Right: "Why ObamaCare Passage Marks A Day That Shall Live In Infamy", by Michael Eden

The pundits have rightly compared the gigantic ObamaCare bill with the Roosevelt administration – if nothing else than because we haven’t seen any government program so gigantic since then.

In a way that is very fitting. Because we can bookend December 7, 1941 and March 21, 2010 with the same prediction: a day that shall live in infamy.

December 7th was a disaster because FDR utterly failed to see a clear and present danger building on opposite sides of both oceans. We failed to take precautions. We failed to arm ourselves. We even failed to protect ourselves. What made it so criminal was that we had years of ample warning, but simply chose to ignore it.

March 21 was hardly a surprise, either. Just as with December 7, a lot of Americans saw it coming, but lacked the power to do anything but point and shout about the coming disaster. The major difference is that on December 7, 1941, our government failed to protect our way of life, whereas on March 21, 2010, our government actively attacked our way of life. (...) >>>

Of Elites, Liberty and the Manipulation of Perception

Word is getting out, and it is explained better and better. I first heard about the false Left and Right dichotomy, reading Stephen Hicks' "Explaining Postmodernism", now entirely available online.

With Communism and Socialism on the far Left, and Nazis and fascists on the extreme Right hand side of this political scale - capitalism and liberty is positioned smack in the middle? It just doesn't make sense.

Ayn Rand had this to say about Nazism and Mussolini's Italian Social Republic:
The political origin of that notion is more shameful than the “moderates” would care publicly to admit. Mussolini came to power by claiming that that was the only choice confronting Italy. Hitler came to power by claiming that that was the only choice confronting Germany. It is a matter of record that in the German election of 1933, the Communist Party was ordered by its leaders to vote for the Nazis—with the explanation that they could later fight the Nazis for power, but first they had to help destroy their common enemy: capitalism and its parliamentary form of government.
It is obvious what the fraudulent issue of fascism versus communism accomplishes: it sets up, as opposites, two variants of the same political system; it eliminates the possibility of considering capitalism; it switches the choice of “Freedom or dictatorship?” into “Which kind of dictatorship?”—thus establishing dictatorship as an inevitable fact and offering only a choice of rulers. The choice—according to the proponents of that fraud—is: a dictatorship of the rich (fascism) or a dictatorship of the poor (communism). (...) Read the lexicon
Oh, and let's not forget the secret Molotov-Von Ribbentrop Non Aggression Treaty, which was not as outrageous as it may seem. Word has it that even before 1939 Nazis were holding military exercises on Soviet territory.

Andie Brownlow on Pajamas today has the following overview on the subject, and throws in a shortlist of recent history, of the Leftist press dealing with the enemy, i.e. liberty. As a now deeply middle aged, Leftist stand-up even last night had it: everything bad that befalls us is America's fault (but then, he also thinks reactionary is the opposite of proactive, so perhaps never mind him).

As we conclude in "Socialist Causes Explained", in case Leftist actions defy all sense and logic, ask yourself this and you've got your answer: what course of action would hurt the West or the cause of liberty (read capitalism) most?

Pajamas: "American Media, Blaming the ‘Right’: From Duranty and the KGB to Reuters", by Andie Brownlow
A Reuters article last month titled “German protesters stop neo-Nazi march in Dresden” takes a hyper-partisan stab at what would otherwise have been a dull story. The article is short, 474 words, and describes a neo-Nazi funeral march in the German city to remember Nazi deaths by the Allied air raid in WWII. This event was thwarted by anti-Nazi protesters.
In this brief article about clear-cut good and evil, the political “right-wing” was awkwardly invoked six times, including under the caption. Such a ham-handed approach to finger-pointing can hardly go unnoticed. It is a sloppy attempt to paint the right-wing as sharing the ideology of one of the most evil men in history, Adolf Hitler.
As many people are beginning to understand, Nazism has nothing to do with modern conservatism or the clichéd “extreme right-wing” canard favored by the political left. In fact, all totalitarian regimes are on the extreme political left; nothing but anarchy exists on the extreme political right.
The modern left has its roots in the political phenomenon of the 1930s when progressivism, communism, fascism, socialism, and Nazism coalesced under the common flag of centralized governments and an ideology of collectivism. This worldwide movement went largely unchallenged ideologically until the reassertion of classical liberalism through the American conservative movement in the 1950s. (...) >>>
Read here about the moral equivalent of war, which explains the need for unity in the face of a common enemy, global warming. The moral equivalent of war turns out to be nothing less than an exalted means to mobilization for what's deemed an ethically superior cause: that's fascism, thought up by the groundlayer of "progressive" collectivist Pragmatism, William James.

Read here how politically demoralized commentator Andrew Sullivan is wriggling out of Orwell's correct analysis that pacifism is objectively pro fascist. This RINO is juggling objectivity and subjectivity as it were a cup game, and plays the card that any old Leftist habitually does, the ethics of good intentions (or deontology), in other words, the-perpetual-get-out-of-jail-card.

History Repeats Itself ...

... First as Tragedy, Second as Farce.
--Karl Marx

Ironically printed by the Chicago Tribune in 1934. FDR had been President for two years at the time of this cartoon.
