Of Cultural Marxism, Blue Helmets and the "Pink Army"

A Dutch lobby group for gays in the military, "Pink Army" is livid! An American General has told the US Senate Armed Services Committee, that the sacking of the Bosnian enclave Srebrenica in 1995 occurred as a result of the Dutch policy that allowed gays in the military. At least, that is what the MSM, and fuming liberal politicians after them have been paroting for days. The chaps in the Pink Army are pondering a law suit.

But what General Sheehan has actually said was that European armies deteriorated after the collapse of the Soviet Union and focused on peacekeeping because they did not believe the Germans were going to attack again or the Soviets were coming back.

Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and other nations believed there was no longer a need for an active combat capability in the militaries. They declared a peace dividend and made a conscious effort to socialize their military — that includes the unionization of their militaries, it includes open homosexuality.

- Caption: Serb General Mladic and the Dutch Commander Karremans -
Dutch troops serving as U.N. peacekeepers and tasked with defending the town of Srebrenica in 1995 were an example of a force that became ill-equipped for war. The battalion was understrength, poorly led, and the Serbs came into town, handcuffed the soldiers to the telephone poles, marched the Muslims off, and executed them.

Truth is, that the haphazardly declared enclaves were impossible to defend. The Bosnian Muslim army continued to conduct raids into Serb territory from this 'neutral zone'; one day the Serbs decided to act. But worst of all it was the UN that had the lead in the war. They provided the peace keeping forces with light arms, throwing in 1 (one) tank between them for good measure, so as not be 'provocative'!

General Sheen is right, but he is missing the full picture. The 'socialization' of the military to which he's refering happened during the Den Uyl government, who - like Obama today - was conducting a program of "fundamental transformation" (code for a bloodless revolution).

This government vowed to reform society based on the "democratization" of private corporations and governmental institutions - higher education, police and the army amongst others - and 'nivellation', the redistribution of wealth with a view to an equality of outcome. The military and civil servants were allowed to unionize and obtained the right to strike.

Ideally corporations and institutions "mirrored" minorities in society - the early form of what is now termed 'diversity'. Reverse sexism and racism was the result. The last remaining vestiges of that era are the military unions and now, the "Pink Army".
- Caption: the case of the long haired Rinus Wehrman -

But the scope of the New Left's bloodless revolution was much wider and took place all over the Western world. Only now, years after the events do we know that some years prior, McCarthy wasn't that far off the mark as is often claimed. The West was riddled with Soviet moles, fellow travelers and useful idiots. The Frankfort School was the incubator and director of this onslaught of cultural Marxism.

The peace movement was infested with agitators and agents provocateurs. They were protesting against the same cruise missiles that eventually necessitated the Soviet Union to drop out of the arms race. It was however a fatal mistake to think that after the collapse of the USSR, the Left had conceded defeat. Now they're back with a vengeance.

Looking back on history from satellite height one can discern the pattern of the postmodern dialectic. This narrative builds on the Marx dialectic, that created the dichotomy of oppressors versus oppressed. This narrative  goes as follows: "the" truth does not exist; all oppressed minorities - genders, races, ideas, religions and cultures - are equal in value and validity ... except the West's which are uniquely evil. The group oppressors consists in affluent, white, heterosexual males. (Read or watch Isabel Allende's "The House Spirits" which embodies this drama like no other.)

Gays in the military are a part of this dialectic. Also peruse our dossier "Socialist Causes Explained". Despite all this talk of equality there is a certain hierarchy of victimhood: some are definitely more equal than others. But whoever has the audacity to outgrow one's victimgroup, is inviting the fulll wrath of socialist curse. More on this subject in part II of our series on progressive cosmology.

- Caption: Condoleezza Rice lost her black victimhood status because she is a Republican i.e. political color trumps race -

If you fail to see the logic or common sense in a certain position the Left is taking, just ask yourself the question, what course of action would hurt the West most, and you've got your answer. That is the ultimate goal, also of gays in the military. The sacking of Srebrenica wasn't because of gays in the military, but it happened as a result of the demoralization program, of which they are part and parcel..

The Trial of Radovan Karadžić: Hartmann indicted

After we were able to break the news last week that fifteen Dutchbat vets have come forward to testify for the defense, today the ICTY posted a press briefing that an Order in Lieu of an Indictment has been issued against Florence Hartmann on two counts of contempt of the Tribunal. Hartmann was the spokesperson of former ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte.

The two counts of contempt are for allegedly disclosing protected information about the trial of former Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic. The ICTY alleges that Hartmann knowingly divulged confidential decisions in the Milosevic case.

Hartmann has repeatedly stated that former US President Bill Clinton and French President Jacques Chirac had planned a campaign to capture Karadžić, but later backed down at the urging of the US, Britain, and Germany.

Hartmann has also said that Russia aided in moving Karadžić to safety in Belarus, and alleged that the West helped in order to hide information about the fall of Srebrenica

Last week, Karadžić submitted a document to the ICTY asserting that he had an immunity deal with former US Ambassador to the UN Richard Holbrooke, on the condition of withdrawing from public life. He asked the Tribunal to order the appearance of Holbrooke, as well as former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and two other officials involved in the deal.

Holbrooke and Albright have denied the accusations, but Jurist in an article mentions that Purdue University Professor Charles Ingrao, leader of a research group dealing with issues of the former Yugoslavia, said in an interview that he has independent evidence verifying Karadzic's claims.

More allegations by Hartmann were made in an interview with The European Courier. In the interview Hartmann states that Joschka Fisher, the German minister of Foreign Affairs in the former German Government told Del Ponte that according to German secret services, international High Representative in Bosnia, Paddy Ashdown met with Karadžić at the end of 2003 in Bosnia!

She also recounts in her book that in March 2000, Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte asked Wesley Clark, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, whether the US had a secret agreement with Karadžić. Clark in turn accused former French President Chirac of having cut a pact with Karadžić and Mladić to win the release of two French pilots held by the Serbs in 1995 (see Bosnia News).

Hartmann is to appear at ICTY on 15th September. Dr Karadzic's next session is due on Friday.

The Trial of Radovan Karadžić

Having moved physically closer to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) as it is officially called, the trial of the former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadžić is an unique opportunity to report on revised history and its fall-out as it condenses before our eyes.

Minute proceedings of the trial can be followed through the official site of the ICTY; mainstream reporting is widely available in the traditional media. In close cooperation with our Balkans correspondent, analyst Ioannis Michaletos of the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) in Athens, Politeia will be focusing on the subsurface idiosyncrasies of the case and what may be missed in the Western media due to lack of objectivity towards the Serbian side in the conflict.

Yesterday afternoon at 16.00 hours Karadžić' initial appearance took place before Judge Alphons Orie, who is reputed to make short shrift of political rantings issuing from the more politically minded in the dock. This is a pity, because the West is greatly in need of an education with regard to the proximity of Left and Right collectivist ideologies, one of the principal theses of this blog. Yugoslavia seamlessly morphed from a Communist collective to a Serbian Nationalist hive.

The fact that the Bench yesterday was not aware that Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz is working on a new Indictment (here's the Prosecution's Statement and here's the old indictment), not only has the accused breaking out in sweat; it also made the impression of a Court already partly dissolved in disarray, as indeed was the case when the former Bosnian Serb leader was arrested last week in Belgrado.

Florence Hartmann, in another life journalist for French Leftist daily Le Monde and spokeswoman at the ICTY - and more recently author of the book "Peace and Punishment" - in an interview in The European Courier published on 11th October last year states, she believes this to be the actual reason why Karadžić' was arrested at this particular time. The trial breathes new life in a near comatose tranzie institution.

Biased press and officials involved in the proceedings are exceedingly worried about the consequences of Karadžić' insistence not to appoint counsel, but - like former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosović, to lead his own defence. It will add to cost and time the tribunal must be kept operational. Judge Orie on Thursday stressed that leading one's own defence isn't an absolute right. The middle road might be the appointment of an amicus curiae. This document recounts the problems Milosović had in that regard. An additional problem is that unlike Milosović, Karadžić isn't a lawyer by profession. The accused on his part is contemplating a hunger strike if his rights are trampled on by the Court.

What else stood out? Karadžić promise of spilling the beans during his trial by the ICTY was already made good by his early accusation that former Clinton era diplomat and Dayton Peace Accords broker, Richard Holbrooke may be trying to liquidate him as a result of a secret deal gone awry, an offer of immunity for early retirement, involving also France, the U.K. and Russia. In the meantime Karadžić has penned down his accusation in a document addressed to the Pre-Trial Chamber headed Irregularities linked to my arrival before the tribunal.

On Friday Holbrooke countered by denouncing the claim as a brazen lie ("who would believe an indicted war criminal?") as he (Holbrooke) didn't even have the authority to make such deals. But considering the third way'ers clout in transnational business Karadžić claim of a secret deal is not as far-fetched as Holbrooke would wish it to be.

What's more, Dutch Nova TV yesterday evening interviewing Holbrooke, mentioned that the secret deal was confirmed from unsuspicious quarters, namely Karadžić' Bosnian Muslim counterpart in the Dayton negotiations, Muhamed Sacirbey, resulting in a audibly disappointed Holbrooke.

Moreover, Florence Hartmann recounts in her book that in March 2000, Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte asked Wesley Clark, former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, whether the US had a secret agreement with Karadžić. Clark in turn accused former French President Chirac of having cut a pact with Karadžić and Mladić to win the release of two French pilots held by the Serbs in 1995 (see Bosnia News).

Hartmann further clarifies, she wrote that Karadzic’s family says that he signed such an agreement, and that Holbrooke and the US have denied it. There is no any hard evidence, but mountains of circumstantial indicators, on which more in later posts.

In the same interview Hartmann states that Joschka Fisher, the German minister of Foreign Affairs in the former German Government told Del Ponte that according to German secret services, international High Representative in Bosnia, Paddy Ashdown met with Karadžić at the end of 2003 in Bosnia!

Hartmann fumingly lists a number of occasions over the last fifteen years when Karadžić and Mladić might have been arrested, but as by a miracle, were not. Something must have been holding them back. Read it all in The European Courier interview >>>

The trial is adjourned to 29th August.

Euro Police Convention Duped by Balkan Terror Threat

The 11th European Police Congress, to be held in Berlin on 29-30th January is the target of a Balkan Al Qaeda franchise.

The convention will be inaugurated by Franco Frattini, Vice President of the European Commission, Commissioner for Justice, Freedom and Security. The second item on the agenda is "Global, European and National threats by Terrorists: National Concepts to face the Challenge."

In a programme note (bottom Programme section) it is advised that one of the speakers, Dr Darko Trifunovic - a maverick young investigator from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Security Studies - will not be able to attend due to "pressure and death threats" made against him by radical groups that are under his investigation. He has decided not to "expose himself and the congress to further danger."

Dr Darko Trifunovic has been conducting research into the origins, ambitions and operating methods of what he calls "white Al Qaeda", the home grown branch of the terrorist franchise organization in the various areas of the Balkans.

It first took foothold in Bosnia-Herzegovina after the Western powers in the 90's saw the influx of Afghan war veterans into the territory as an easy way to support the Bosnian Muslims. Since the Dayton Peace Accord Iranians as well as Saudi Wahhabis have flooded the statelet with funds, over-sized mosques and subversive organizations, one of which has members throughout the Bosniak diaspora in Europe, Canada and the US. CNAB appears to be the center of gravity of the present threats against Trifunovic.

Trifunovic has also found new links between Bosnia and the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the London and Madrid train bombings. Specifically mentioned are Mohammed Atta, who coordinated the 9/11 outrage, and Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, Bosnian citizenship holder and war veteran, former Al Qaeda 'Operations Chief', who - according to Dr Darko Trifunovic - took over the leadership of the Al Qaeda media campaign ('the Committee') during the planning of the 9/11. Atta's place of residence was a Bosnian hamlet before launching off to Hamburg and the US for his fatal mission.

With the knowledge of the UN interim governors in Kosovo, Albanian-American radicals were actively recruiting terrorists for 'the war against America' prior to the 9/11 attack, of which they had foreknowledge. The UN however, did nothing.

The Foreign Area Officer Association FAOA posits that the Sarajevo based organization, AIO's (Aktivna Islamska Omladina)[1] "(...) Islamic weekly magazine SAFF [2] and organization's website have been fronts of radical Islamic preaching, gaining notoriety for publishing interviews with terrorists who have fought against US forces in Iraq and expressing solidarity with the jihadists and suicide bombers in Israel." FAOA also links the AIO with members throughout the Bosniak diaspora in Europe and the US, one of which is CNAB..

CNAB claims to represent some 350.000 Bosniak refugees in the US and Canada. Trifunovic qualifies them as a new jihadi organization. He specifies four members in particular, who are one way or another involved in Islamist activities. In Terror Finance Blog in "Bosnjaci.net Attacks on Darko Trifunovic" Trifunovic specifies as follows:

"Here is why Bosnjaci.net, an Islamist web site from Bosnia is attacking me.

One of Bosnjaci.net's favorite and honored members is Sakib Mahmuljin, who is a high-ranking Bosnian White Al Qaeda member, accused of war crimes. See this: "War crimes: "Vozuca case", six years later".

Izet Nanic is a former commander of the 505th Buzim Brigade with the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army which was an integral part was the "Hamze" unit. See here and here.

Another prominent individual on Bosnjaci.net is Nezim Halilovic-Muderis. He is imam at the Wal-Mart-sized, Wahhabi King Fahd mosque, which opened in 2000 on the outskirts of Sarajevo, built with Saudi money and named after the Saudi monarch. Nezim Halilovic-Muderis, a Bosnian extremist agitator whose antics I have been following since 1999. Muderis's Friday sermons, available on Bosnian websites, are replete with incitement to violence in Israel, Kashmir, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and the Philippines. He preaches the same line on the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq, as is heard among the acolytes of the late terrorist leader of 'Al Qaeda in Iraq', Abu Musab al Zarqawi.

It is, to say the least, bizarre: "In Falluja, according to statements from the U.S. command, spirits have appeared in the form of enormous spiders, weighing about a kilogram, that only attack U.S. soldiers, and the person who is bitten dies within seconds." More information about this prominent Wahhabist is here.

Another Bosnian Muslim war criminal, protected and promoted by Bosnjaci.net is Rasim Delic. According to the indictment, Rasim Delic was aware that the jihadi members of the Bosnian army had a distinct tendency to commit crimes, especially against captured enemy combatants and civilians (...) Reportedly, however, he took no measures whatsoever to stop these acts taking place.

In an email Trifunovic has it that the web master of Bosnjaci.net, Afan Pasalic even openly confessed that he uses Trifunovic' name to manipulate and and false emails and post comments in his name. Trifunovic qualifies the impersonation quite accurately as "shocking!!!!"

A brief insight into some of the more flowery death threats against Trifunovic, posted at Bosnjaci.net:

"Help us God to erase Trifunovic and entire his family from Earth - We must teach our kids from age of 5 how to use pistols and guns, and that they hold in one hand (knjiga) Ku'ran and in another hand a gun ready for use - If Darko Trifunovci goes to the 11th Police Congress in Berlin, God help that all Muslims finish him - Such individuals as Darko Trifunovic, we need to harass him, and we need to continue to discredit him by all means and to very end, until others dare not show up to talk about terrorism"

The manicheic character of the site is illustrated by the shocking death threats in one section, while another is reserved for "Dobri Bosnjaci" (good Bosniaks). The latter consists of a list of special members of the portal: dangerous Islamic fundamentalists and war criminals. Trifunovic: "We are dealing with pure criminals (...) I am planning to inform all EU, US and other relevant authorities regarding this unfortunate incident in order to prevent such thing from happening again in the future." I don't share his optimism.

Earlier this week a colleague of Trifunovic, analyst Ioannis Michaletos, released this media message on his behalf.

Up to now Dr Trifunovic has been able to conduct his investigations from the ivory tower of the University of Belgrade in relative tranquility. When it transpired however he was invited to speak during the upcoming 11th Police Congress and - as a consequence, the results of his research would reach the professional domain - no methods have been shunned to intimidate him, discredit him as a person and as a scholar.

With false accusations of 'Srebrenica denial' and 'hate mongering' - references to laws prohibiting Holocaust denial and inciting racial hatred - attempts have been made to get him banned from the police convention; impersonations and cyber manipulation being but the least methods of choice to muzzle. But it is my understanding that, far from denying the deplorable events at Srebrenica, Trifunovic has been further investigating the matter.

Apart from the personal injury done here, the public damage of this terrorist saga is two-fold: researchers are being harassed to prevent them from doing their jobs, thus interfering with the right of enquiry. The consequences of such actions on the academic level could well be considerable. The second part is even worse: the intimidation of officials conducting criminal enquiries, subverting the rule of law, leading ultimately to mob rule.

Let me wrap this up with some thoughts of my own. In the past few decades one of the greater mysteries has been the question, how the Holocaust on six million Jews at the hands of the Nazis could have taken place without the entire continent raising up in protest. At present, a sizable majority of people in the West surprisingly seem to be sharing views with the people who have declared against us. However treacherous and hard to fathom this may be, it is kinder on the persons harbouring such views: it is after all easier to be a voluntary accomplice - silent or otherwise - than it is to be a coward.

Progress Report on Operation Western Deconstruct (summary)

Part 1 "The Simple Truth" in the series of posts titled "Progress Report" looks at the reasons behind the current aggressive self-assertion that is taking place within the Islamic world, in particular where the virulent anger and hatred towards those outside it, ultimately stems from.

The short take is that Islam - as a non-secular religion that sees as its teleological fulfillment the domination of the world in a global Ummah - cannot psychologically cope with the fact that events on the ground during the last millennium or so, point in the very opposite direction. As a result they feel humiliated and offended to the core. The current upsurge might well be identified as the last chance of fulfilling that destiny. It is, after all the third such attempt, the 3rd Jihad.

Psychologists can explain how Muslims deal with that gaping discrepancy and the unremitting cognitive dissonance as a result of it. But the distortion of reality stemming from the psychological coping devices of paranoia and projection - externalising blame and avoiding responsibility at all cost - do not help in solving the sheer intractable problems that are by now felt by everyone.

Part 2 "Plugging the Holes Against Reality" posits the case of Iran, that sees wiping Israel off the map as a short cut to the fulfilment of the Islamic destiny. Shi'ite myth thereto requires the coming of the twelth Imam, an event that will be accelerated by the apocalyptic destruction of the enemy. In the Western atmosphere of appeasement and growing antisemitism throwing the rabid dog a bone, is no longer a taboo.

The ethically neutral stance that Western politicians are trying to maintain, is a philosophical myth as well as a deal with the devil. In the choice between food or poison, the middle of the road is death. Misguided? Yes, to say the least. Harmless? No. But more trouble is ahead.

Even more vigorously enforced is the idea that lumping innocent Muslims with their co-religionist terrorist counterparts is an act of unfairness and a line that will not be crossed. But at this point the reasoning is reversed, and the terrorists are lumped with the innocent. This fallacy has five fatal consequences.

Politicians and voters abdicate the moral choice between the innocent and the terrorists; 2. as a consequence the terrorists get a free pass; 3. the innocent, thus lumped together with the radicals, do not get the support they need to distance themselves from the radicals. They have no other choice than to submit to them, caught in the multicultural ghetto; 4. what's worse, any chance of reforming Islam from within is hence forfeited; 5. Westerners, seeing it their duty to defend the values of liberal democracy against Sharia type onslaughts, as well as special privileges demanded by Muslims on the basis of religious beliefs, are harassed by the radical elements, as well as criminalised by their political representatives. In Europe the fallacy has been cast into law, thus insulating terrorists and radicals even from verbal critique.

Like the innocent Muslims - who are now lumped with the radical camp, like it or not - the defenders of Western values are caught between a rock and a hard place. They might seek protection from intimidation, directing appeals through the official channels, but not for long. The current tendency is blaming the victim. The reasoning goes along lines like "as it is well known that Muslims are easily inflamed, why offend them?" Next stop: free speech, turned penalized provocation! From the looks of it, far from conducting a war on terrorists, Europe has unleashed a wave of repression on the critics of jihad!

"Progress Report", "Plugging the Holes Against Reality" also lists two cases of men running foul of such legislation. Although the details are as yet scarce (USPace seems to have some facts), one such case is an unapologetic Christian and patriotic blogger from England, Lionheart. He's running the risk of being clasped in irons the moment he sets foot on home soil, back from 'self-imposed' exile? What happened is as yet unclear, but one would assume he's committed murder and mayhem! Actually it would appear he's had a bit of a bust-up with a Muslim drugs dealer.

Part 3 "The Assault on the Rule of Law" brings up the matter of frivolous lawsuits brought against critics. It often results when money is no object. They may serve a secondary purpose: if the case is won, the advantage is favourable jurisprudence; if lost, the sued party is intimidated and diverted, and may hence serve as a lighted reminder to others like him. It's also a matter of psychologically wearing out the enemy: who's got energy (and funds) left after having fought one or two of these cases.

The third instalment also lists the case of Dr Darko Trifunovic of the University of Belgrade who is conducting investigations into the origins, ambitions and operating methods of what he calls "White Al Qaeda", the home grown branch of the terrorist franchise organization in the various areas of the Balkans. It first took foothold in Bosnia-Herzegovina after the Western powers in the 90's conspired to allow Aghan war veterans to enter the territory. Since the Dayton Peace Accord Iranians as well as Saudi Wahhabis flooded the place with funds, overbearing mosques and subversive organizations, one of which has members throughout the Bosniak diaspora in Europe, Canada and the US.

Dr Darko Trifunovic has also found new links between Bosnia and terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the London and Madrid train bombings. Specifically mentioned are Mohammed Atta who coordinated the 9/11 outrage, and Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, Bosnian citizenship holder and war veteran, former Al Qaeda 'Operations Chief', who - according to Dr Darko Trifunovic - took over the leadership of the Al Qaeda media campaign ('the Committee') during the planning of the 9/11. Atta's place of residence before launching off to Hamburg and the US, was a Bosnian hamlet, 8 km outside Maglaj.

Dr Trifunovic up to now has been able to conduct his investigations from the ivory tower of the University of Belgrade in relative tranquility. When it transpired however he was invited as a forum speaker during the upcoming 11th Police Congress and the results of his research would thus become public, no methods have been shunned to intimidate him, discredit him as a person and as a scholar. With accusations of 'Srebrenica denial' and 'hate mongering' - references to laws prohibiting Holocaust denial and inciting racial hatred - attempts have been made to get him banned from the police convention; impersonations and cyber manipulation being but the least methods of choice to muzzle.

Apart from the personal injury done to Trifunovic himself, the public damage is two-fold: researchers are being harassed to prevent them from doing their jobs, interfering with the right of enquiry. The consequences of such actions on the academic level could well be considerable. The second part is even worse: the intimidation of officials conducting criminal enquiries, undercutting the rule of law, leading ultimately to mob rule.

The West's hazardous plans for the independence of Serbian province of Kosovo loom large. The ultimate purpose of the diplomatic exercise in brinkmanship is as yet covered in geopolitical nebula. "Never mind the Al Qaeda and Wahhabi influence, the Serbian heartland of Kosovo being subjected to the rule of the fifteen crime families of Albania who are up to their eyeballs involved in heroin trafficking; or that the current leader of Kosovo once led the bin Laden funded KLA, and the creation of an independent Greater Albania with its fingers in the annual $40 billion criminal drug trade steamrolling through the Balkans: it is a very progressive and enlightened ideal."

The series concludes that ... we can all go safely to sleep tonight - all is quiet on the Eastern front ...

Progress Report (3): the Assault on the Rule of Law

Continued from Part 2: "Plugging the Holes Against Reality"

Politicians enforce the idea on entire societies that lumping innocent Muslims with their co-religionist terrorist counterparts is unfair. At this point the reasoning is reversed and the terrorists are collated with the innocent. This has four dire consequences: 1. a moral choice between the innocent and the terrorists is abdicated; 2. the terrorists get a free pass; 3. the innocent, thus lumped with the radicals, remain unsupported and have no other option than to submit to their will; 4. Westerners, defending the values of liberal democracy against Sharia type onslaughts and subjective, Muslim demands of religion based privileges are increasingly harassed by radicals in any available manner: cyber and legal jihad (frivolous lawsuits), after which they can get beaten up by the new stormtroopers. On top of that they are actively criminalised through legislation.

- Capture: Themis, Goddess of Justice traditionally blindfolded, signifying objectivity: equal justice for all -

They are thus caught between a rock and a hard place. They might seek protection from the radicals, making appeals at the official channels for security. But what, if those are concurrently threatening to clasp counter jihad bloggers in irons? (Read the continuing story of Lionheart.) What, if the political and legislative branches of said officialdom are responsible for a home grown branch of Al Qaeda taking hold on European soil? From the looks of it, far from conducting a war on terrorists, Europe for one, has unleashed a wave of repression on their critics!

Dr Darko Trifunovic from the Faculty of Security Studies at the University of Belgrade is delving deeper and deeper into the origins, ambitions and operating methods of what he terms "White Al Qaeda". The involvement of Wahhabi and Iranian 'volunteers' during the disintegration wars of the former Yugoslavia, has been well established.

A source beyond suspicion (if that is possible, given the prevailing puritan trend) is former journalist, and present Executive Director of the Center for Islamic Pluralism (no, not an oxymoron apparently) Stephen Schwartz. He recently published a fierce plea for Kosovo independence in "Keeping Moscow at Bay - In Kosovo" on Pajamas Media. (Also by Schwarz: "The Failure of Europe in Bosnia, And the continuing infiltration of Islamic extremists", The Weekly Standard on 20th June 2005).

In an earlier article, "Wahhabism and al-Qaeda in Bosnia-Herzegovina" published on the site of the Jamestown Foundation (Global Terrorism Analysis) in 2004, Schwartz in some detail provides a description of the situation there, and concedes that ...

"(...) Saudis and Wahhabis (...) flooded into Sarajevo after Dayton. The Saudi High Commission for Relief (...) occupied a major structure in the town (...) Wahhabi missionaries spread throughout the Muslim zone (...) In the aftermath of September 11, two major events occurred (...) officers raided the offices of the Saudi High Commission for Relief (...). Documents seized by the Sarajevo authorities provided a fascinating insight into the scope and actions of the Saudi-backed Wahhabi jihad in the Balkans during the previous decade; the materials included the "Golden Chain" roster of original financiers of bin Laden's operations. Then, early in 2002 a group of six Algerians were arrested and deported to Guantanamo at the instance of the U.S. Embassy. Most of them had held Bosnian citizenship (...)."

Also holding Bosnian citizenship was Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, former 'Operations Chief' of Al Qaeda and Bosnian war veteran. According to a post on the Terror Finance Blog submitted on behalf of Dr Darko Trifunovic, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed took over the leadership of the Al Qaeda media campaign ('the Committee') during the planning of the 9/11 attacks, starting around 1999.

According to Trifunovic Interpol in Wiesbaden, Germany "sent a request to the Bosnian authorities on 18 September 2001 to verify the identity of a certain Mr. Atta, who according to their information used to reside in the hamlet of Bakotić, 8 km outside Maglaj, in 1999." Evidently, Mohammed Atta had been residing in Bosnia prior heading for Hamburg, his launchpad for the US and his fatal mission.

On 12th October last year in our exclusive "The Clinton Legacy" on the presentation of Chris Deliso's book "The Coming Balkan Caliphate", we reported on the public secret that during the 1990 Yugoslav conflict, the Western powers conspired to allow Muslim Afghan war veterans to enter the territory, as an easy way to counter the Serb attempts to keep the federation of Yugoslavia together while countering internal Muslim harassment of local Christian populations. At the time the situation was said to be fluid.

Deliso also asserted direct links between Islamic radicals who were imported into Bosnia as a consequence of said Western policy, and the attacks of 9/11, the Madrid train bombings and the London attacks. We hardly need to be reminded that another Bosnian connection recently came to the fore, the foiled attempt on US Fort Dix, followed up by the scantly publicised matter of a Bosnian arrested in Vienna, Austria for a thwarted attack on the US Embassy in that city.

With the knowledge of the UN interim governors in Kosovo Albanian-American radicals were actively recruiting terrorists for 'the war against America' prior to the 9/11 attack, of which they had foreknowledge. The UN did nothing.

To paraphrase aforementioned Stephen Schwartz, Executive Director of the Center for Islamic Pluralism, "a vast quantity of ink has been expended" on the subject of Islamist involvement and its expansion within Bosnia, Kosovo and elsewhere in the Balkans. That the campaign of intimidation and harassment didn't stop there is evidenced by reports that counter terrorist experts say to be the subject of cyber attacks by an Al Qaeda related organization. OSINT Analyst Ioannis Michaletos, like Dr Trifunovic associated with the Athens based Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS), specifically mentions a Sarajevo based organization, the AIO (Aktivna Islamska Omladina) [1], who have targeted Trifunovic as well.

- Caption: Maps courtisy FAOA -

FAOA posits that "Its Islamic weekly magazine SAFF [2] and organization's website, have been fronts of radical Islamic preaching, gaining notoriety for publishing interviews with terrorists who have fought against US forces in Iraq and expressing solidarity with the jihadists and suicide bombers in Israel." FAOA also links the AIO with members throughout the Bosniak diaspora in Europe and the US.

One such is the CNAB, claiming to represent some 350.000 Bosniak refugees in the US and Canada. Trifunovic qualifies them as a new jihadi organization. He specifies four members in particular, who are one way or another involved in Islamist activities. Terror Finance Blog in "Bosnjaci.net Attacks on Darko Trifunovic" has the specifics.

Reading the accusations directed at Trifunovic, what stands out is that for the most part, these are formulated in non-existent legalistic terms. I do reserve some sympathies with the families and survivors of the sacking of Srebrenica, after the supposed neutrality of the safe haven proved to be vacuous. But the accusations of hate monger, persistent enemy, culturocide, ecocide, ethnocide, urbicide and elitocide are beyond sobriety?

More serious however are the frequent references to Srebrenica denial, equated with Holocaust denial. It is our understanding that Trifunovic, far from denying the events at Srebrenica, has been conducting further research into the matter. His scientific findings may evidently differ from the present official rendition. Research is an ongoing process. Even now archaeologists are delving into ancient digs to unearth evidence that may provide a new perspective on one historical event or other. The right of scientific enquiry is a precious principle, not to be jeopardized by frivolous lawsuits!

The recent legislation of postmodern surrogate morality, as laid down in laws such as these - criminalising subjective emotions as Islamophobia, hate en war-mongering, etc. etc. - will be a fine job for the Courts to disentangle in the coming years. Given the Latvian requests to include Stalinist genocide in the law have stranded on the criterion of the racist principle, one wonders how exactly the religion related outlawing of Islamophobia will fare. And will the emotion squad be preferable to the thought police?

In the US and elsewhere the legal systems are currently clogging up with frivolous lawsuits, one infamous case being one brought on by three of Canada's many human rights commissions against Mark Steyn for a sentence in his book "America Alone". In a rebuttal in the Calgary Herald Steyn explains that in the fateful sentence "The number of Muslims is expanding like mosquitoes" he was actually quoting a prominent Scandinavian Muslim, Mullah Krekar, who had it that Muslims were changing Europe, Western women producing only an average of 1.4 children against Muslimas 3.5.

To bring on a lawsuit on such a basis is careless to say they least. That's the result if money is no object, as in the case of the publicly funded human rights commissions. That frivolous cases are financed by Saudi (and other) sources reveals their secondary purpose: if the case is won, the advantage is favourable jurisprudence; if lost, the sued party is intimidated and diverted, and may hence serve as a reminder to others like him.

Totally beyond the order are the practices of witch hunter Dr. Richard Johnstone, lawyer by occupation, human rights activist by nature. His list of signatories led by a few stooges, is for the remainder made up by politically and perhaps even racially motivated Bosniaks headed by Muhamed Sacirbey, freshly out of jail after a hat trick gone awry. Johnstone proves beyond reasonable doubt that the 'human rights' movement has now firmly passed out of the realm of fake idealism, into the disconsolate depths where nihilism de-masks and hopes to die: "All hope abandon, ye who enter here!"

Returning for a moment to the Trifunovic case, it is remarkable that until he was invited to sit as a public speaker on one of the forum debates during the upcoming 11th European Police Congress to be held on 29-30th of January in Berlin, he was able to do his research work from the University of Belgrade's ivory tower, in reasonable tranquility. The moment however that the opportunity arose to discuss his findings in public, spanners were thrown into the works to prevent it. Not only is he under cyber attack and legal intimidation, requests have also been directed at European Commission members, discrediting him as a person and as a scholar with the object of getting him banned from said convention.

Apart from the personal injury done here to Trifunovic himself, the public damage is two-fold: researchers are being harassed to prevent them from doing their jobs, thus interfering with the right of enquiry. The consequences of such actions on the academic level could well be considerable. The second part is even worse: the intimidation of officials conducting criminal enquiries, undercutting of the rule of law, leading ultimately to mob rule.

On the political level, the West is working hard to provide expanding Islamism with a state in the heart of Europe, smack in the middle of the traditional powder-keg - the Balkans - no less! The ultimate purpose of the diplomatic exercize in brinkmanship is as yet covered in geopolitical nebula. But never mind the increasing Wahhabi influence, Al Qaeda cells declaring war on Serbia, the traditional Turkish style mosques being stripped to make them Wahhabi compliant, the Serbian heartland of Kosovo being subjected to the rule of the fifteen crime families of Albania who are upto their eyeballs involved in heroin trafficking, or that the current leader of Kosovo once led the bin Laden funded KLA.

The creation of an independent Greater Albania with its fingers in the annual $40 billion criminal drug trade steamrolling through the Balkans, is a very progressive and enlightened ideal.

The conclusion of this three part progress report: we can all go safely to sleep tonight - all is quiet on the Eastern front ...

Exclusive: The Clinton Legacy, The Balkan Caliphate

Last Friday morning the traditional neoclassical building, nowadays occupied by the Cultural Center of the University of Indianapolis - an architectonic jewel in the traditional old town of Athens at the foot of the Acropolis mountain - was the scenic theatre of the presentation of a book with the skin crawling title "The Coming Balkan Caliphate", written by the American author Christopher Deliso.

Deliso is director of Balkanalysis.com, a leading independent online news and analysis group. The site utilizes a growing corps of writers and researchers from regional countries as well as from elsewhere in Europe and the United States. Amongst those Ioannis Michaletos, the intelligence blogger and Junior Analyst at Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) who has kindly provided "The Lighthouse" with unique background information on this summer's devastating wild fires, which - in all probability - were part of a pyro-terrorism campaign against the Greek state, for which seventy people have been arrested, twenty of whom are described as 'foreigners'.

Deliso has lived and traveled widely in southeastern Europe and has a master's degree with distinction in Byzantine Studies from Oxford University (1999). Since 2001, he has published many articles on Balkan politics, economics, security issues, travel, history and culture in US and world newspapers, analysis firms such as the Economist Intelligence Unit, and in numerous magazines and websites.

The Balkans (link provides an excellent UN map) is the gateway between East and West, and historically Europe's soft underbelly. Presently organized crime and terrorism present a constant threat. Chris Deliso's eye-opening book details how fifteen years of misguided Western interventions, political scheming, and local mafia appeasement, compounded by a massive infusion of Arab cash, fundamentalist Islamic preaching and Wahhabi mosque building, have allowed radical Islamic groups to fill in the cracks between internal ethnic and religious schisms, and take root in key areas of the Balkans.

Deliso clarifies the situation as follows.

- Bosnia - During the 1990 Yugoslav conflict the Western powers conspired to allow Arab (Saudi, Wahhabi) mujaheddin, surplus of the Afghan resistance against Soviet occupation, to enter the territory as an easy way to counter the Serb attempts to keep the federation of Yugoslavia together while countering internal Muslim harassment of local Christian populations.

Since the blow-back of this policy has become apparent, the US is pushing Bosnia to expel the radicals who've set up shop in the region. Belatedly, as by now they have gone underground. The present situation is said to be fluid.

There are however direct links between the Islamic radicals who were imported into Bosnia as a consequence of said Western policy, and the attacks of 9/11, the Madrid train bombings and the London attacks.

Another Bosnian connection that surfaced not so long ago was the foiled attempt on US Fort Dix and, just last week the scantly publicised matter of a Bosnian arrested in Vienna, Austria for a thwarted attack on the US Embassy in that city.

- Albania - Already historically a breading ground for lawlessness, tribalism and backwardness, this isolated rugged territory became a radical Islamist safe haven from the moment the old Stalinist regime fell. The US policy was to strengthen the fledgling democratic regime. It is this blog's opinion that personal ties between Albania and the Clintons stem from these early years, as the US political order transited from the Cold War. Deliso: "The United States both cracked down on extremists and allied itself with Islamic leaders in the Tirana government, funding these radicals."

Albania became the scene of an influx of Wahhabi mujaheddin and Al Qaeda elements. Wahhabi mosque building is proliferating as we speak, as is Islamist social engineering: providing unemployed villagers with hand-outs to dress up as fundamentalists in an attempt at creating critical mass for the normalization of radicalism; call it the corrupt Islamist version of political correctness. This method is combined with a form of institutionalised thuggery: blackmail and intimidation. It is happening not just in Albania, but in all less affluent regions of the Balkans, of which there are many.

Albanian clan structure produces a social situation, ideal for the incubation of organised crime. The connection between terrorism and organised crime is well established by now; it is being monitored and documented by the various intelligence agencies.

- Kosovo - As was the case in Bosnia, Western policy has allowed mujaheddin to establish themselves in the territory, creating the conditions for radicalisation and Wahhabi mosque building. Also here the same pressurizing pattern of social engineering and intimidation emerges. (Tony Blair, rather shortsightedly, specifically encouraged mujaheddin who found themselves on UK territory, to join the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), so to be rid of them).

Whether Kosovo, under misguided American and European pressure, will become independent or not, is no longer really relevant as radical Islamization is concerned. The question is rather, will the matter of independence get sectarian dimensions or not.

Deliso was kind enough at this point to hand the audience a great scoop: there are Albanian-American radicals in Kosovo who had prior knowledge of the 9/11 attack. They were actively recruiting terrorists for 'the war against America'. The UN was aware of this fact, and did nothing.

Saudis and Pakistanis are making sincere efforts to take over the territory by means of (forced) conversions, proselytizing, charity hand-outs, entrenchment of Islamic banking structures, social engineering, intimidation, etc. Islamist functionaries are parachuted below the radar into minor positions, that are nevertheless of strategic interest. The word that springs to mind, is subversion.

Funds are pouring in. Donors are located in the Middle East, Malaysia and Birmingham (UK). The Islamic Heritage Foundation is another of the great Islamic charities exerting social pressure. The organization is banned in four countries, but is allowed to do their damnedest in the UN administered province of Kosovo.

The Bulgarian region of the Rodopi Mountains, bordering Greece, has pockets of radicalized villages, once again the result of radical import and social pressure, through charity, hand-outs, and intimidation.

There are tensions as a result of Christian versus Islamic animosity, but there's also competition over Saudi versus Turkish Islamic influence in the region.

While most Muslims - in the Balkans, or anywhere else - aren't fanatics at all, it must be stated that they profit from the situation in the sense that extremism offers them an opportunity to present themselves as the viable, reasonable alternative. Once in key positions, the moderates are threatened, intimidated and bullied into a more radical attitude. Their Islamist enforcers often take the shape of mafia style thugs.

- Intelligence failures - There has been a marked lack of intelligence sharing between countries, as well as between national or federal agencies. This has assisted in creating the current situation to a large extent. Various intelligence agencies per country are competing and fighting out turf wars over competence and jurisdiction. Given the EU's multinational dimensions this competition is even worse in Europe than it is in America. Terrorist groups of course have no such impediments.

The policies on Kosovo and Bosnia have assisted the nesting of foreign radical elements. The UN administration of Kosovo is inhabited by career diplomats whose attitude is to sit it out while pondering the next prestigious career move. Their motto consequently is "don't rock the boat", coupled with a mind set that prefers sweeping dirt under the carpet. Whistle-blowers are known to be stonewalled. There's high level corruption.

Deliso voices concern over the US government's infiltration by spooks to an extent that is alarming. He also mentions there was a second failed attempt on Pope John Paul II's life, which is rarely publicised. I think I saw it reported once, but took it for a mistake. (Google produces no hits at all).

The threat of terrorism is also changing shape: an innovation are the so-called 'white devils', Caucasian converts who escape racial profiling. I think I predicted in these pages somewhere that this will likely be the face of terrorism in the future: a sort of Islamic Bader Meinhoff, just as fanatical, deluded, and radical Marxist as the Cold War set up.

Computer hacking is assisting terrorism by 'remote control', for example attacks on essential installations, such as power grids. The spate of pyro-terrorism waltzing through Greece this summer may have been ignited 'remotely' by cell phones. Also in Greece some attacks were perilously close to power grids. More attacks than we realise are being thwarted.

How's this for a coincidence ... on the morning that the former President Clinton is arriving in Athens to consult the local Socialist Party out of the crisis it finds itself in since losing the general elections - they cannot figure out how they lost it - Deliso is filling us in on some details of the Clinton legacy: "The Coming Balkan Caliphate".

Deliso stresses that he has spoken with high level US officials who have made plain that the 1990s failed policies were conscious decisions. The election of Hillary Rodham Clinton would in all probability bring back the same politicians who signed for the flawed policies of which we only now are experiencing the dire results: Wesley Clark, Madeleine Albright, Richard Holbrooke, Sandy Berger, to name but a few.

The questionable method of rendition that got the Bush government into trouble, was first used in 1995 in Albania during the Clinton years. Ray Robison commenting on a Front Page Magazine article by Julia Gorin, "Kosovo – The Epicenter of Islamofascism?" writes on this matter:

"... There are Islamic extremists in Kosovo. There have been for years as evidenced by the Clinton Administration’s germination of a controversial policy called "rendition". It was in Bosnia and Kosovo that the rendition of Islamic terrorists to nations like Egypt - which would obviously employ torture and in some cases murderous interrogation methods - began. The reason the U.S. rendition policy became necessary is because the Islamic terrorists were not from Kosovo. They were sent back to Egypt in most cases because they were Egyptians. Now an argument can be made that these Arab jihadists, veterans of the Afghan mujahideen were supported locally by some Albanian Islamic extremists."

The US, having currently concentrated their efforts on the Middle East and Afghanistan, have an intelligence deficiency in the region. In the past the US have outsourced information gathering to Ukrainian and Romanian agencies, but stopped doing so when a inordinate amount of disinformation ensued.

- Greece - Greece has of course always objected to the failed Western policies in the Balkans, but was forced to go along with more powerful allies. Foreign policy instead was concentrated on the minor issues, such as the name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), or Skopje, on which matter Turkey seems to be very well informed.

Also in Skopje, enclaves have been created, that are virtual no-go areas for Westerners: ideal safe havens for terrorists and radicals.

Greece should identify and correct the intelligence hiatus. If more information would be available to combat the War on Terrorism, Greece would become a more valuable partner.

What stood out - and this is effectively the reason why Greece in the West is almost a white elephant - was Deliso's underlining specifically that the Greek governments, as well as the Orthodox Church 'have not allowed' and have 'prevented' Islamic radicals from establishing themselves in the country. The habitual means of establishment is through charity organizations.

But what Greece and the Greek Orthodox Church can achieve, can also be done by other countries! All we know is, that they haven't. Was that the result of active, but inapt policies as described here by Deliso, or a lack of political will? Or are we perhaps scratching the surface here of the very purposeful Eurabia doctrine as presented by author Bat Ye'or, of which we are to witness the latest instalment during the forthcoming Arab-European Dialogue on Human Rights and Terrorism, taking place in Copenhagen on 21-23 October?

This seems to be a good moment to go on record that a family member who worked for an intelligence service in the past, once disclosed that the Cold War ended at a good time, as resources would now become available for monitoring radical Islamist elements. This means that in government circles in 1990 there was known to be a threat from that area. Today it is widely forgotton that the problems didn't start on 9/11, 2001.

While many Western countries have severed historical ties and suppressed national consciousness for ideological reasons, Greece is still a very free, traditional, Christian country, enjoying historical roots and national identity with all that entails. While Western Europe is wallowing in decadence, and realing from its self-induced uprootedness, Greece is developing the first affluent middle class.

Deliso: "Many countries in the West, for example Germany and the UK, are in trouble through their multicultural policies." Greece on the other hand is still recovering from the historical black hole that was the blessing of being part of the Ottoman Empire. There are people alive today who remember, and there are those who know because their (grand)parents told them. Greece will have to be force-fed by the EU on multiculturalism, will it ever become a politically correct nation.

Deliso travels through the area extensively and has concluded, there are quite a few Western exiles who have found a home in the Balkans as well, the undersigned one of them. It would seem everybody is more or less adrift these days.

Finally, I'd like to remind the readership that the petition against the independence of the Serb province of Kosovo-Metohija, which would enhance the chances of the Balkan Caliphate even further, can be signed here.
