Fighting Multiculturalism With Culturism

Last night a coalition of Sikhs, Hindus, Jews, and Christians had a rally in New York City's Times Square protesting a Muslim's attempt to punish the program South Park for showing Mohammed.

Banned From Britain

The policies of Britain's Labour Government Home Secretary Jacqui 'Jackboot' Smith, decreeing who's welcome into the country and who's banned from it, are getting more erratic and haphazard by the day. In an attempt to glean some kind of pattern from issued barring communiques, the Philadelphia-born author Carol Gould - blogging on Pajamas - is making an effort to chart the hate-mongers and demagogues who are already infesting the once great island nation:

“
(...) there are scores of extremists spouting loathsome views in every corner of the country. Aside from the fact that England was the location for the very first European blood libel and expulsion of Jews after the York Massacre, the stomping ground of the neo-Nazi Dowager Lady Birdwood and Oswald Mosley, not to mention the birthplace of Holocaust denier David Irving, Britain has in recent years nurtured all manner of extremist.

Dr. Azzam al-Tamimi, whom I witnessed rousing an audience of young Muslims to chants of “Jihad!” at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and who has expressed a desire to be a martyr, was used as a “series advisor” by the BBC on The Power of Nightmares, a BAFTA award-winning series by Adam Curtis about the foolishness of the war on terror. By the same token, and as Michael Savage has said as this story unfolds, Britain is also the home of the Magna Carta. Lest one forget Winston Churchill, who stood alone against the Third Reich in the Wilderness Years. (...) >>>

But the posting sets off with a juicy bit about the Labour Secretary drawing attention to her and her husband's inability to distinguish the personal from the business of ruling on immigration policies:

“Jacqui Smith has been embroiled in a scandal involving the purchase by her husband of pornographic films; the media have grabbed onto this story with glee because it is an engaging distraction from the horrendous credit crisis and other world calamities. Because the films were acquired on an expense account, she promised to repay the government.

Back in March she had been accused of double-charging said government for her accommodation; this story, which also related to other politicians, dominated the news cycle for several weeks. Unfortunately Jacqui Smith seems unable to avoid being news because her very own men and women of Scotland Yard (the British Home Office has governance over the police force) have come under unprecedented fire over beatings and even one fatality at the April G20 protests (...)” >>>

Dutch Islam critic Geert Wilders MP - and therefore judged a rabble rousing racist by the politically correct cohorts - just recently found himself barred from entering Britain and showing his short film “Fitna” on the invitation of the House of Lords. Yesterday he's announced he is planning to travel to London for the Court hearing of his appeal on July 9.

Word has it, the Labour regime is increasingly embarrassed by their decision to block an EU member state parliamentarian from entering another. And so they should. But witness this week's published
index of “less than welcome individuals” they may be embarrassed, but remain unrepentant on principle. While the list does not contain any Europeans (let alone MPs or MEPs), what to make of the Jackboot's decision to put the US radio talk show host Michael Savage on Britain's index of nefarious hate mongers?

The man doesn't suffer fools gladly (which happens to be the reason he's popular), but to single him out as a clear and present danger to non-existent “community harmony” borders the farcical! As one pundit had it, this is clearly a case of postmodernist racist equivalence, i.e. white, Christian 'padding' for the host of banned Islamic rage boys that are making up the remainder of the hate index.

Jill Putnam, in an open letter on the The People's Cube ads to the British buffoonery, sending it straight into the spheres of satire, where the entire episode clearly belongs if it weren't a clarion call for censorship of the opposition, appeasement in the face of terrorists and bullies, and tolerance of the intolerant! Enjoy ...

The People's Cube: “I want To Be Banned From England Like Michael Savage”

(...) I'll never understand why we broke away from Great Britain and am so grateful to Jackboot Jacqui Smith who, along with Dear Leader Obama, will correct the mistake (...) >>>

And here's Savage's furious response, with the threat of dropping a legal bomb shell in Britain.

The Postmodern Weimar Republic

The publishers of a Dutch satirical Internet site have been summoned to appear at a local police station for questioning. While Nekschot had his privacy invaded by a entire squad and was unceremoniously thrown in jail, the blokes of 'Geen Stijl' are the recipients of a 'summons' as the proverbial 'knock on the door.'

In the course of 2006 the site (of which these pages emphatically are not admirers) received some 11 million comments. Of that host the editors omitted to detect and delete 16 individual invectives which generally may be indiced as 'hate.'

Four persons - one of which an Amsterdam alderman - have pressed charges. No one outside the official field is at this stage aware of the legal status of 'the summons' as a relatively new instrument to censor and control.

Columnist and Iranian refugee Afshin Ellian writes: I can hardly imagine the existence in the free West of persons who'd choose to become sensors. I detest this profession, because I was born in a country where censorship has been the rule for centuries. During the eighties thousands of Iranian war veterans were drafted to read the letters written by the regime's dissidents. This was not to uncover criminal acts but opinions and contacts.

Pending a 'summons' let's take note that the youngest generations have grown up after the collapse of the major Western totalitarianisms. They know little of thought police, censors and dissidents.

As for the older ones, they've never dreamt in their vilest nightmares that a neo-fascist dictatorship could develop from the laid-back, postmodern version of the decadent Weimar Republic.

However displicable, antisemitism was not the essence of National Socialism, and certainly not of Fascism. Its breeding ground is Pragmatism meeting dogmatic mysticism and a culture of individual duty towards the collective. On the philosophical level the ingredients are just about in place waiting for the right circumstances to ignite fresh blazes.

Of Christian Ethics: Muzzles and Jackboots

In a last week's post "Deeper Under the Eurofascist Jackboot" we reported the plight of a Dutch cartoonist, Gregory Nekschot. The name is an uncannily apt pseudonym considering the circumstances. Nekschot means 'a shot in the neck', the tots' choice of execution for enemies of the state. Nekschot's home was searched and the artist had his means of living confiscated by the overwhelming power of a ten men police squad. He himself was arrested, interrogated and thrown in jail.

A public discourse ensued. The intimidating circumstances were subject of a parliamentary debate yesterday, a number of MPs to their credit expressing worry and outrage. It was also debated if the prosecution service have performed their duties as is expected of them. It is fairly obvious a number of 'technical' mistakes were made. The Minister of Justice, while defending the action as a whole, has tacitly admitted as much. Surprisingly, promising more answers he's still in office today!

The investigation was triggered by an unborn Dutch Muslim known by the name of Abdul-Jabbar Van de Ven, a 'calvinist' imam moonlighting as chairman of the Islamic Propagation Centre International (IPCI), which is financed by bin Laden. The investigation of Nekschot had taken three years to complete because the police were unable to pinpoint the identity behind the Nekschot pseudonym. The computer needed confiscating to establish if the offensive drawings were uploaded from this particular apparatus. Never mind the details of this load of bovine manure.

But in a country where the rule of law reigns supreme no one is supposed to question cases in public while a trial is pending. Which is all very well, but isn't the rule of law itself in danger here by state censorship and intimidation, and by enforced 'self'-censorship of the press and the public at large?

Nekschot doesn't advocate the extermination of individuals or groups of people, nor does he call for entire nations to be driven into the sea, a common fixture on social networking sites such as FaceBook. Nekschot draws cartoons, pen and satire are his weapons (Pomos, this is what is commonly referred to as 'metaphor,' so don't even think of pressing charges for illegal carrying).

One of the parties in government, to which also the Justice Minister belongs - the Christian Democrats (CDA) - have embraced the interests of Muslims as their own on the basis of them being all 'believers.' A few months ago we had another episode with a CDA party member screaming "fasc!" at Libertarian Wilders for speaking out against encroaching Islamization.

The ethics of this party are getting more questionable by the day. In the Dutch political landscape the CDA party has historically a pivotal role between the Leftist Labour and the 'Rightist' free-market Liberals. No party can govern in its own right and the Christians have the choice of going 'either way.'

They have governed for years with the Liberals, backing free-market policies, less rules and regulations, a small(er) government, curbing benefits and discouraging asylum. At present in government with the Socialists, they have effortlessly performed an U-turn on essentials, backed down from their own past policies and started catering to the forces of darkness, which apparently includes muzzling Islam-critical cartoonists.

On the other hand - let's not kid ourselves. In the European Union of today the sovereign nation is a thing of the past. Thanks to political obscurantism and contempt of democratic principles in the face of Hegelian historical events, we have no way of knowing to what extent the unelected Commission is actually in power, by proxy of national governments.

-Caption: cartoon by Nekschot: "The faithful are allowed more than others - I am allowed to set up camp in public places." -

It is the new-found duty of parliaments to rubber-stamp whatever is pouring through the Brussels pipe-line. And national governments bear the brunt of the neotot policies without ever implicating the Brussels behemoth, because too much criticism might endanger 'the project,' which - as we know - foresees in expanding Europe into Turkey, the African Maghreb and the Middle Eastern Mashriq. The implications of such plans might be obvious to any realistic observer.
