Operation Damage Control

Lesson one:

"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."
--Emerson

... not to be confused with flip-flops and U-turns ...

Can we expect a retraction and an apology? (this is a rhetorical question)

Viewing problems? Watch "Ex Palin aide on bridge claims" - "Yes, bottomline, she killed it!"

Now, can we talk about the Woods Fund and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge?

Next question: who's pulling the strings of this elegant, soft-spoken, dropping, post-racial, sexist puppet? We don't know (yet) but here are some of the auxiliaries.

We already got to know some of the campaign's witch doctors, for example Messrs Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein, academics of the University of Chicago, inventors of The Nudge, or 'how to soft-manipulate the masses into falling in line with our ideology, even against their will.'

Commentator "redherkey" on Jennifer Rubin's PJM piece "Severe Palin Panic Strikes Democrats" suggests another has something to do with it: the neo Marxist Rockridge institute for the reframing of the progressive mind, (who ever dared to say the Left have no depth?!) - quote:

The Obama/Biden campaign is one being carefully guided by George Lakoff’s (of the Rockridge Institute) concept of message framing (...) Daily message and meme constructs are carefully reviewed, selecting specifically chosen short phrases that are to be repeated by the candidate, spokespersons and by the mainstream media surrogates via materials distributed for their handling. As Lakoff has driven home with consulting to the Obama campaign, *EVERY WORD EVOKES A FRAME*. Words are hypertext links to emotions, images, memories, experiences, imagery, etc. At this level, you don’t make mistakes of the “lipstick on a pig” and “smelly fish” that are accidental misstatements. (...)."

Yes, very Messianic all. There's more. The Left, tradition since Rousseau, love to study ways how to underhandedly make the masses conform to their collectivist hell-hole rules. If not voluntary, then through changing perceptions through mind-games. Here's another incissive implement from the psychology toolbox of the anti-humanism:

Elizabeth Scalia in "Psychologists Want to Purge Your Brain of Un-Green Thoughts" on PJM has dug out an article on USA Today that provides a treasure trove in underhanded tricks and manipulations to toe the party line and worship at the green altar of the Earth goddess.

"Armed with new research into what makes some people environmentally conscious and others less so, the 148,000-member American Psychological Association is stepping up efforts to foster a broader sense of eco-sensitivity that the group believes will translate into more public action to protect the planet. "We know how to change behavior and attitudes. That is what we do," says Yale University psychologist Alan Kazdin, association president. "We know what messages will work and what will not.

Does that sound ominous, or what?

During a four-day meeting that begins today in Boston (ed. 14th Aug.), an expected 16,000 attendees will hear presentations, including studies that explore how people experience the environment, their attitudes about climate change and what social barriers prevent conservation of resources."

If you feel your thought processes interfered with on a daily basis like I do, you now know why. Get this:

"News stories that provided a balanced view of climate change reduced people's beliefs that humans are at fault and also reduced the number of people who thought climate change would be bad, according to research by Stanford social psychologist Jon Krosnick."

This explains the barrage of biased indoctrination we are bombarded with. Who doubted that global warming and other environmental issues are about anything other than control, he's your answer. The article continues:

"His presentation will detail a decade of American attitudes about climate change. His new experiment, conducted in May, illustrates what he says is a public misperception about global warming. He says there is scientific consensus among experts that climate change is occurring, but the nationwide online poll of 2,600 adults asked whether they believe scientists agree or disagree about it."

Note well!

"By editing CNN and PBS news stories so that some saw a skeptic included in the report, others saw a story in which the skeptic was edited out and another group saw no video, Krosnick found that adding 45 seconds of a skeptic to one news story caused 11% of Americans to shift their opinions about the scientific consensus. Rather than 58% believing a perceived scientific agreement, inclusion of the skeptic caused the perceived amount of agreement to drop to 47%."

Truth is IRRELEVANT... only the ideology and the hive matter ...

"American Psychological Association leaders say they want to launch a national initiative specifically targeting behavior changes, including developing media messages that will help people reduce their carbon footprint (...) >>>

Scalia concludes:

"It would seem that Al Gore was correct then, to eschew any debate on the topic of global warming, and correct again when he ordered the press to stop presenting balance and dissent in their global warming coverage (...) All of this manipulation and social engineering is necessary, you understand, because we’re facing a “crisis.” The environmental “crisis” is the mother lode of guilt-tripping; if it is successful — if people can be made to accept the unprovable theory that humankind, not nature, is responsible for “climate change” — then the tentacles of the nanny state will be able to reach into every aspect of every life, from how one may heat or cool one’s home to how many children one may bear. It will be a necessary intrusion, meant to save the planet. For the children you should not have." (...) >>>

What the anti-humanists are specifically after is reducing man the preditor to glorified apes whose value is not above that of a gorilla (see the Great Apes Project). This may be a good time to cite one of the few sane Europeans left standing: Czech President Václav Klaus on Monday. during a meeting in Tokyo of an association of Libertarian economists, businessmen and intellectuals, warned against climatism.

"Fear of global climate change has no serious basis - a resolute stance of all rational, freethinking and freedom-loving people. Our response to this ideology should be clear and uncompromising, because we are convinced that we know enough about the delicate and vulnerable human society, and how dangerous all efforts are to direct it from above."
