PC World: "FCC Votes for Net Neutrality, McCain Wants to Stop Them"
Sen. John McCain is leading an effort to prevent the FCC from proceeding with its plan to implement network neutrality. Well, net neutrality fans, your enemies list just got one person bigger. John McCain is the latest to come out against the FCC's work, and has even proposed legislation to stop the agency in its tracks.
On Thursday, the FCC approved a measure to begin the process of formalizing a set of net neutrality rules that would ban ISPs from selectively filtering or throttling content. Texas Rep. Barton tried to stop the FCC from voting on the measure in the first place by pleading with commissioners to stop the vote from occurring.
This was an exercise in futility: Chairman Julius Genachowski had already worked to seal the support of the two other Democratic commissioners, making approval all but certain before the vote occurred.
Enter McCain. (...) >>>

Politics for Idiots
I've seen a lot of Glenn Beck shows, but last night's beats them all!
He's installed a direct telephone hotline for Anita Dunn c.s. to call should they wish to set the record straight on any mistake or mispresentation. Needless to say that that is not what is intended; what is, is attack, isolate and destroy.
Beck has also done some easy visuals to show how the kabuki theater of smoke and mirrors is being built. It's politics for idiots or evaders like Ms Behar, who just "can't accept".
All you ever wanted to know about postmodern political ploys - so cynical, given that it's done in the name of the "poor and disenfranchized" who - in the end - will be the hardest hit.
Watch, how a nation is being deconstructed. Segment 1 is at the bottom of the column. We'll not upload any new videos for a day or two to keep present collection in tact.
By the way, Glenn said on his radio program today he now has two Deep Throats feeding him information (it's getting curiouser and curiouser). I'm still looking for a link to the segment in question.
Oh, and is Chris Mathews still employed by MSNBC? The vitriol these guys on the Leftist media are spouting is truly breathtaking ... taking incitement broadcasting to entire new levels ... classic projection of course.
Update:
Here's a lone John Doe who finds himself smack in the middle of the Rush Limbaugh Quotes controversy: Smash Mouth Politics - well done! Citizen journalism at its best!

The Crumbling Presidential Stature
Breitbart comments:
"Fox News Lays Out Facts After White House Escalates War on Network"
Fox News: In recent weeks, the White House has begun using its government blog to directly attack what it called "Fox lies." David Gergen, who has worked for President Bill Clinton and three Republican presidents, questioned the propriety of the White House declaring war on a news organization.Historically we need to go back to the epoch of Tricky Dick for a President to descend to such heights.
"It's a very risky strategy. It's not one that I would advocate," Gergen said on CNN. "If you're going to get very personal against the media, you're going to find that the animosities are just going to deepen. And you're going to find that you sort of almost draw viewers and readers to the people you're attacking. You build them up in some ways, you give them stature."
It's a war now ... the President of all Americans is treating the opposition as the enemy (what a surprise!) ...
More segments on the GlennBeckClips channel on YouTube.
Breitbart's The B-Cast are weighing in, parsing and debunking Dunn's claims one by one.
Here's our view: it fits in perfectly with the Postmodern Left's mentality of their aim being so darned 'ethical' that it justifies any means, and that includes "war on the opposition" ... eh "enemy". This is why their rule always ends in tyranny.
Update:
Today October 15 Beck broke the news that in Ms Dunn we have ourselves yet another radical postmodernist in the White House. This specimen even manages to combine admiration of Mother Theresa with mass murderer, Chairman Mao! Surprised? You won't be after you know she said: "You don't let external definitions define how good you are internally. You have your own path" ...

How the MSM Lost its Integrity and is in Danger of Losing its Soul Too (updated)
A few weeks ago, as I was already dozing off into the early morning hours, I was just scanning the radio one more time for a last tasty morsel of news of the day, when I was rudely awakened by such a vile piece of propaganda, I wouldn't have been surprised had it turned out to be a nightmare. It's not something one expects from a Dutch radio station that has found its niche in business and management news.
But it is - sad to say - the sort of smear that is on the battle order of the day in the American culture wars. I wasn't prepared for it then and there in all its blatant 'in-your-face'ness. I can't even reproduce it verbatim, but the following is a close representation:
American talk show host Glenn Beck is a lying liar and he's spreading vicious rumors about the dear leader's birth certificate and that he's a racist and it's simply untrue. Beck is not just a lying liar, he also raped and murdered someone decades ago.Eh? Regular readers know yours truly to be a close follower of Beck's, but most Dutch have never even heard of him, or his ilk. I'm well aware what Beck is trying to accomplish and where he's coming from. Actually, Beck is a bit of a late-comer on the scene. He's pursuing matters this blog has been trying to tease out since 2006. Present development are merely a temporary culmination of a process set in train years ago.
I had also seen the site that originated the rape and murder smear and decided that ignoring it was probably the best policy. It hardly made any bones about it that it had been made up for the sole purpose of tainting Glenn Beck, to make him suspicious in circles of Conservative orthodoxy. You know, where there's smoke ... etc.And here I was in the middle of the night, after the closing figures of the Nasdaq hearing the smear repeated in all its viciousness. It's the culture war at its most base. It also made me have another look at the radio station in question.
Its promotion of "sustainability" and hammering on "corporate responsibility" fairly gives the game away. In the Dutch political landscape that places it firmly in the realm of the Leftist D66 Democratic Party which is rooted in 60s relativism of the counter cultural revolution. Worse, the party is not liberal, but crypto Socialist. This comes to the fore in all kinds of naive forms of collectivism. What's more, they're very apologetic where encroaching islamization is concerned.
The next day I mailed the editor my complaint, asking for a response which I duly received. The gist ran as follows:
The charge as broadcast on radio is also posted on the blog with links to supporting material. Beck ridiculously accuses Obama of being a racist, and that Obama's birth certificate is a forgery (in all honesty, that is a charge made by others, it says). But the station's accusations do not stop at that. Said hosts [sic] are serial lying liars. Ann Coulter is paraded as another typical example. The suggestion to 'google' "Glenn Beck lies" ominously promises to yield "some interesting results". The missive goes on to recommend the book "Lies and the lying liars who tell them" by Al Franken. In the book Franken documents the mendacity of the Conservative media in detail. In the effort he was assisted by an entire team from Harvard.
Well, it's quite a relief to know that the Dutch MSM is using independent sources to document the slander they uncritically proliferate. The Dutch and other Europeans have swallowed the Democratic slant hook, line and sinker across the political board, from Left to Right.
It can only be hoped that at some point a rude awakening from their illusions will take place. But like in the States, the amount of denial and evasion has reached breathtaking proportions. At this point they are blissfully unaware the Democratic party has been hijacked by the most authocratic followers of Marx since Joseph Stalin. Of the corrupt pit of Chicago machine politics, the Alinsky Rules for Radicals and the Tea Parties they are ignorant altogether.
It is beyond me how a self-respecting editor can seriously come up with a slanderous accusation against a person and a subject he obviously knows nothing about; when challenged he produces one single source a child can see is blatantly partisan. Besides 'googling for lies,' not one attempt has been made to seriously document the charges! Ah, it's clown Al Franken and his team from Harvard, so it must be okay then.

As for the "birthers" charge, that beggars the question why, instead of producing a $10 birth certificate, Obama to date has spent over one million dollars in legal fees to keep the document from becoming public. But that's all lying lies from lying liars, of course. Well, get yourself a Pullitzer and prove it!
Update:
Bill Whittle of Pajamas TV compares the victory last week of Andrew Breitbart over ACORN and the MainStreamMedia with the sacking of Rome by Hannibal. The story not just showed ACORN for what it is - a corrupt organization - but it has exposed the MSM is in the business of news suppression. He also has a caveat for Andrew: Rome's vengance was terrible!

Glenn Beck on the idiotic stories surrounding his past - a diversion really - when the world as we know it is collapsing over our ears and the lamestream media has abdicated their duties:
Having just gone through eight long years of the delusion and denial called Bush Derangement Syndrome, the following article and accompanying video very well shows the narrative as well as the phenomenon of psychological projection. We can Mr Schaefer (interviewed by Maddow) actually rehearsing the points that make up the 'narrative':

Invasion of the Postmodern Watermelons
Phil Kerpen, Director of Policy at Americans for Prosperity, joins Breitbart TV's the B-Cast to discuss the radical network around the White House that has sprung to light in the recent days thanks to alert investigators, like Glenn Beck.
The watermelon analogy was coined by Beck in illustration of the self proclaimed Communists and other red radicals, who are hiding behind a thin layer of greenism.
Can't say with hindsight it's a great surprise: the direction environmentalism pointed in always was towards control and raking in tax money!
Here's part I:
Part II includes the subject of the growing outrage over the hijacking of the 9/11 commemorations for political purposes and Obama's war of words over the health care reform.
The video is the first segment of last night's episode of Glenn Beck's series "The New Republic". It is running the entire week, culminating the day after tomorrow with full disclosure of what he's found this pomo cabal to be all about.
Earlier episodes and parts 2-6 can be viewed on our Vodpod page.
This blog has been warning that a new round of Communism (or collectivist totalitarianism, or postmodern fascism, or whatever) is coming our way. Well, here it is.
I must urge all readers - in and out of the United States - to watch these videos carefully, because it is the model for, and the next and ultimate form of collectivism for the post Cold War world.
If you think this is an exaggeration or worse, read your history books on everywhere where this social experiment has been tried: Russia, Eastern Europe, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Cuba, swathes of Africa and Latin America, and the result has ever been the piling up of sacrificial bodies! Your life, your choice.
Here's a question posed by social network "The Reagan 2.0 Revolution". The Obama energy policies are so inconsistent, it should start flags flying all over the place. The answer I think is that the aim here isn't the protection of mother earth, but rather some other interest as laid out by the groups that make up the Apollo Project.
It would appear that the Obama Administration is promoting an “all of the above” energy solution overseas. The US Administration is offering to give a loan to a Brazilian oil company to conduct off shore drilling and in the regions bordering Iran and Turkey, the “Caucuses”, as well as in Central Asia, the US is promoting the idea of greater exploration and production of oil and natural gas. See our article on this here.
Perhaps some might wonder why the US Administration is NOT pursuing such a policy WITHIN the United States. The emphasis at home is more about certain TYPES of energy, often referred to as “alternative” energy, but the list of alternatives WITHIN the US is rather LIMITED to solar, wind, and so-called “renewable” resources, which are fairly scarce, based on new and unproven technology, and expensive to produce, while the United States has a super-abundance of coal, natural gas and oil.
Perhaps the White House should set up a special email so that we, the People, can FLAG THEM about this inconsistency in policies. Does the President realize that his Administration is pursuing a “Limited Energy Production” policy at home while promoting an “Unlimited Energy Alternatives” policy abroad?
Go to our page and share YOUR thoughts on this question- should the US promote ONE energy policy overseas and ANOTHER at home?
As it happens today we have the unique opportunity offered by Demotix to view the Venezuelan counter revolution in action. Students in Caracas have been protesting for a month now against the closure of 34 radio stations and a new education law. More on Demotix.
Is that honestly where we all want to go? Protesting after the freedom of speech has been taken from us?

Nat'l Health Care: from the horse's mouth - Update
Update:
This got the Tory furs flying on the other side of the pond! A must read for fans of the health care debate! Note it's about quality, not about principles. Check out:
Daily Record: "Tory NHS attacks leave Cameron on back foot", by Kevins Shofield
David Cameron claimed yesterday that the Tories are the party of the NHS - as Labour warned that many of his MPs want to destroy it.
The Tory leader had to interrupt his holiday to distance himself from Tory MEP Daniel Hannan, who has launched a string of ranting attacks on the NHS in America.
But Labour said Cameron was "rattled", and told voters Hannan had revealed "the real face of the nasty party".
Hannan, a former speech writer for William Hague and Michael Howard, called the NHS "Marxist" in a speech in Washington and went on the right-wing Fox News Channel to brand it "a terrible mistake".
He claimed the health service had "made people iller", and he wouldn't wish it "on anyone".
Cameron tried his best to dismiss Hannan's outburst.
He said: "He does have some quite eccentric views.
"Millions of people are grateful for the care they have received from the NHS - including my own family.
"The Conservative Party stands four-square behind the NHS. We are the party of the NHS. It is our number one mission to improve it."
Cameron's PR efforts were quickly undermined when a second Tory MEP praised Hannan's attack. (...) >>>

The Fine Art of Agitation and Community Organizing
We've been collecting all these posts and publications over the last few days pertaining to the pseudo civil war currently being fought out in the US over health care reform; but on watching the last two broadcasts of the B Cast on Breitbart TV it all became obsolete. If you've missed what has occurred on the continent of Liberty, the next two Breitbart videos provide a pretty comprehensive overview.
While we've been commenting and updating on the Articles blog in "Ruled by the Mob", on second thought what is going on is even more nefarious than initial analysis warranted. We've got only this to add on the reflexes emanating from the White House.
Folks, we don't need to go down that path again - not in the nation that embodies the philosophy of Liberty. It's been well documented over the last two centuries how Utopias always turn into dystopias, always and without exception. That is because they are build on the principle that individuals have the dire duty to exist for the improvement of everyone else, instead of the other way around.
Christian Democrats and their ilk need to stop vilifying individualism, also in Europe: they need to understand that respect for the individual is our sole guarantee against tyranny!
Here' the White House's assault on Liberty again in its full, neototalitarian glory:
It occurred to me only this morning that there's a quote circulating from one of Orwell's books, asserting that it is just not possible to control an entire nation ("we can't catch all that breathless 'dizinformation' that's percolating on the Internet, all by ourselves"). Therefore what you need to do as Big Brother is find a way for the people to control themselves (help us flag our enemies and report to us).
The devil is in the moral twist - the narrative goes like this: dissent is a deliberate lie per definition; it is therefore unethical, yes -- even evil; therefore dissenters are the enemy of the good (their own intentions are above suspicion, indeed are "all for our own good")! The enemy - not grassroots, but vile "insurance companies, lobbyists, pharmaceuticals, Republican Party activists" etc. - must be flagged and reported.
What you do is you take a great number of party members who're in some way beholden to it in some capacity, and you set them up as spies and informers. These spy and snitch on all the others for "ideologicial dissent", and since no one knows precisely who they are - they may be your best friend, or your son, or your own mother for that matter - nobody's trusting any one any more - the walls have ears ... As a result you have a self sustaining mechanism of perpetual and total control.
You can judge for yourselves how that might work. The 0-team may not have that intention for the moment, but neither do they have the moral compass that tells them that such activities are totalitarian and have no place in a liberal democracy. And that is perhaps the most worrying aspect.

Oh and just in case you believe you're safe with the WH's assurances, know that the Regulation czar is author of "The Nudge". This is what we jotted down in "The Pomo White House" just after his appointment:
Mr Nudge - Cass Sunstein - married to National Security Council Director of Multilateral Affairs, Samantha Power - has been nominated as Regulation Czar, but ... how to put this? ... there seems to be some controversy, but in the wrong department. The appointment of the "prolific writer" and inventor of "The Nudge" would place him eminently to do at which he excels: making people act in accordance with the politically correct ethics of the day.And for good measure, there's more where that came from! On the "Science Czar", another postmodern, anti human nihilist:
Sunstein is an expert at inducing obedience in the unwashed with the use of psychological trickery - some generation of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP, also known as hypnosis 2.0). The Obama campaign had Mr Nudge's signature all over it. In a later pamphlet he describes his latest thesis on group polarization (see also a number of entries on the file of "Big Brother's Smoke and Mirrors"). The relativist, hyper subjective mass manipulator would indeed come into his own as Obama's Regulation Czar - an amoral witch doctor on steroids. If appointed (and there's no doubt he will) his wishes to "litigate on behalf of animals" may well prove to be the least of our worries.
President Obama's Science Czar, John Holdren, took a controversial and amoral approach to the science of population by recommending mass compulsory sterilization and even forced abortion (and/or forced marriages) under certain circumstances. His 1977 tome, Ecoscience, which he co-authored with Paul and Anne Ehrlich, also displays a revealing disregard for the institution of the traditional human family. (...) >>>Congrats, Obama voters, the real coup didn't happen in Honduras but in the US, right under your own adoring noses!
