Much of the tranzie world is pursuing democratic principles as the highest value. It is a mistake. Democracy is not an end in itself, but the by-product of the rule of law based on individual rights. This is why the state of democracy in tyrannies is a travesty, only serving the purpose of lending legitimacy to the tyrants.
